Bethsaida, project for orphans, DR Congo Bethsaida is a project of the AIDS Awareness Program CECA 20 destined to assist Orphans in DR Congo.

Bethsaida is a project of the AIDS Awareness Program CECA 20 destined to assist orphans so that they are able to go to school. The children have been orphaned of one or both parents because of HIV related illnesses.

David, the boy in the picture, is a very turbulent boy, though he seems quiet. He lost both his parents in 2020 and entered the Bethsaida, project for orphans, DR Congo that same year with his siblings. His grandmother died in December last year. Since then David has been moving around to stay with several family members without getting the necessary help, love and care. Please pray that we'll find a solution and that we can find a stable home where he can stay. Because David has missed too many lessons and did not take his tests for the end of the first trimester, he has been sent away from school. The director however says that he is willing to take David back as a pupil next year if his situation and attitude have changed. David was in 4th grade primary school.

Yesterday Ayila and I went to Abedju to visit the schools where we have pupils, and to see the children themselves. We only missed one school because we did not know exactly where it is situated. We saw the other students. Even though we are not supporting Baraka, we asked about him too. He is home sick, malaria, but he adapts well at his new school and is redoing second year secondary for the third time. The other children we saw are Kezia, Adi district, but we went there to pay for her exams of second year secondary; Job, who is in 5th year secondary; Apeta, 4th secondary; and also two new children: Ma-Edenia in second year secondary; and Grace in 3rd year primary school. All are studying well.
Manda and David, the two candidates who didn't pass their exams, did not come back and are eliminated by the Bethsaida, project for orphans, DR Congo . Unless they come back before the school sends their files to the education department by the end of this week.

Many of our children have heard their results last week. Only three have to redo their year and two of them will be supported by Bethsaida, project for orphans, DR Congo ! For Jérôme this means that Bethsaida will no longer pay for his school fees, as his failure to pass is the second time.
We are still waiting for the results of our final exam candidates, as well as those of second year secondary.
We are organizing a spiritual retreat next week, Tuesday and Wednesday, for all the children and board members.
On the picture: Sara, she finished first in her class (5th grade primary) with 85%.
