May Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon You All!

By the grace of Allah, we had our weekly Coffee and Islam program in the Yellowknife Public Library. This is a thank you and a heartfelt JazakAllah to all those that came by and enjoyed some conversations and refreshments.

Also a thank you to all those who responded to the online posts regarding this event. Especially to those who sent positive and helpful comments. We will continue to do our best and be there every Wednesday from 5-6pm for the month of January!

If you have any comments or concerns about Islam or you would just like to meet your neighbours come meet us and we can learn from each other to help strengthen the community together InshAllah!

By the grace of Allah, the Annual Convention in Qadian, India called the Jalsa Salana Qadian has concluded today.

The head of the International Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba) delivered the concluding address from Islamabad, UK.

Beloved Huzoor (aba) spoke about a range of teachings in Islam from safeguarding against Shirk (associating partners with Allah) power of prayers.

The purpose of Islam’s teachings is to connect one with Allah and thus safeguard society against Shirk. Many people say and preach that they believe in only One God and have never worshipped anything or anyone else besides him.

However, Islam teaches us much more than just this teaching and allows us to connect more with Allah. To refrain from committing Shirk, Islam forbids lying, falsehood, and indecent behaviour towards one another. It teaches us love, respect, doing good works, and most of all righteousness.

Beloved Huzoor (aba) highlighted these many great points to help not just Muslims but non-Muslims alike to refrain from true Shirk and to grow as human beings as a collective community.

May Allah enable us to do so. Ameen!
