â¨Get to know our communityâ¨
A personal favourite to some of us from UP is the diversity in our gatherings. And we donât just mean diversity in our ethnicities and languages. But also diversity in age, socioeconomic status, gifts (skills), life experiences, and callings.
We have people of African-descent, Asian-descent, European-descent and Indigenous peoples, coming together as one; and if you live in Winnipeg, you understand the significance. Why are we mentioning this? Because:
1. This is a glimpse of heaven!
âAfter this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,â (Rev 7:9)
2. Jesus is made known through our unity and love for one another
âI have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are oneâI in them and you in meâso that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.â (John 17:22-23)
This is Kingdom. đ
