The mail may have stopped moving, but hope doesn’t have to.
The Canada Post strike is affecting charities across the country. For many organizations, especially for Alongside Hope, mail is still a lifeline — for updates, donations and heartfelt connections.

During the 2024 strike, charities lost an estimated $266 million in donations. But together, we can keep the support flowing.

Here’s how you can help — and help others do the same:
✅ Give online at alongsidehope.org/give-today
✅ Did you know all registered charities in Canada can receive online gifts safely and securely through CanadaHelps, including churches, grassroots charities, libraries, and more. Visit canadahelps.org/en/charities/alongsidehope-pwrdf/ to give to Alongside Hope, or search for your church or other favourite charity.
✅ This fall let’s choose kindness, compassion and community. Let’s keep hope moving.

Babies don’t wait for daylight.
In parts of Mozambique and Madagascar, giving birth at night can be dangerous — especially when clinics have unreliable or no electricity. But thanks to the Solar Suitcase, that’s changing.
One bright yellow box brings light, safety, and life-saving tools, so midwives like Ancha Amido Abdala and nurses like Nurse Itelvina Especiosa de Rafael Macucule can deliver babies safely, even at night.
Since 2016, more than 80,000 births have taken place under the light of Solar Suitcases. And now, we’re working to equip 49 more clinics with this essential tool.
Your gift brings light and hope — and until October 31, every dollar is matched up to $150,000!
Give today and help finish the job. Donate here. https://wl.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=E344492QE&id=93
Let’s light the way. Together.

Imagine giving birth . . . in total darkness.
🎥 Watch Nurse Itelvina share what it’s like to deliver babies in the dark or by phone light in Mozambique: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cM-BqmE9z0s&t=5s
“I have lost count of the number of deliveries I’ve assisted — and by God’s grace, they all ended well,” says Nurse Itelvina. But not every story ends safely. The lack of light during childbirth endangers women, babies, and health workers.
You can change that.
With a simple, solar-powered light source — a Solar Suitcase — Nurse Itelvina and her team could perform safe deliveries no matter the time of day.
Your gift today will be MATCHED up to $150,000 — doubling your impact.
No woman should ever have to give birth in the dark.
No nurse should ever have to work without light.
Help bring light and safety to off-grid clinics in Mozambique and Madagascar.
🧡 Give light. Save lives.

Building a Brighter Future for Mothers & Babies… Thanks to YOU!

Since 2016, Solar Suitcases have transformed maternal care in off-grid communities in Mozambique:
- 80,000+ babies safely delivered using the solar suitcase even in the darkest hours!
- 17.5x increase in night deliveries in some areas because the clinics have access to light.

So what’s next?

We are in our third phase of providing 49 Solar suitcases to help bring full coverage to clinics in Mozambique, as well as Madagascar.
Each Solar Suitcase provides:
- Reliable light for safe deliveries
- Power for critical medical devices
- Hope for mothers and frontline health workers
Help us reach our goal of $320,000 to light up the clinic and lives of thousands of mothers!
Donate today - all gifts matched up to $150,000: https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=E344492QE&id=93
Every donation = safer births.

In these challenging times, “when the hits keep coming,” it’s easy to throw up our hands and give in to despair, says Archbishop Anne Germond, acting Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada. “While we cannot change what’s happening around us in this moment in history, we can choose how we...
