Karma
Karma is God’s energy in action. It is the law of cause and effect and retribution. Also called the law of the circle, which decrees that whatever we do comes full circle to our doorstep for resolution.

Paul said, “Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Newton observed, “For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.”
The law of karma necessitates the soul’s reincarnation until all karmic cycles are balanced. Thus, from lifetime to lifetime, man determines his fate by his actions, including his thoughts, feelings, words, and deeds.

John the Baptist and Jesus as Messengers
Jesus Christ was a messenger. In his Galilean embodiment, he delivered the words of Lord Maitreya, whom he referred to as "Father." He had previously served as a messenger in his embodiments as the prophet Joshua and the prophet Elisha. As Elisha, he received the mantle of the prophet Elijah.

Elijah ascended to God in a chariot of fire. As prophesied by Malachi, he returned to earth to go before Jesus as John the Baptist. Thus, as both Elijah and John the Baptist, he served as God's messenger. John the Baptist was the guru of Jesus, Jesus being the chela.

The Holy Family
The ascended masters teach that the family is the basic unit of society, and the Aquarian age is the age of the divine family. The Atlantean origin of the word family is father-mother flames in loving union. The Holy Family from the Bible consists of the child Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and Saint Joseph, representing the model of virtue, love, and obedience for Christian households.

Jesus is now the Ascended Master Jesus Christ, the avatar of the Piscean age; the incarnation of the Word, the Universal Christ. He came to reveal the individual Christ Self to all mankind and to show the works of the Father (the I AM Presence) that can be accomplished by his sons and daughters in and through the flame of the individual Christ Self. Jesus also holds the office in hierarchy of World Teacher, which he shares with the Ascended Master Kuthumi.

In the ascended master teachings, we refer to the Blessed Virgin as Mother Mary. After her ascension, Mary was made representative of the World Mother, with a title of Queen of Heaven. Although all ascended lady masters keep the flame for the World Mother as her representative, we think of Mary as the archetype of Motherhood, the Mother of mothers.

Saint Joseph is now known as Saint Germain, the chohan of the seventh ray, the hierarch of the Aquarian age. He is known as a diplomat, expressing the godly qualities of dignity, grace, gentility, poise, and true statesmanship through all who will invoke the seventh ray. He is a member of the House of Rakoczy, founded by the Great Divine Director, in whose Transylvanian mansion the violet flame of freedom is presently enshrined. The name Saint Germain comes from the Latin Sanctus Germanus, meaning simply “Holy Brother.”

The family is the basic unit of hierarchy; it is the basic mandala of karma. It is an institution ordained by God for the building of civilization. It is the basic unit of life in the Piscean age, in the Aquarian age, and in every age.

In the early golden ages, the father held the focus of the Spirit of God, of his authority and Fatherhood over all. The mother, as the homemaker, held the focus of the Holy Spirit and its descent into Matter, kindling the heavenly energies of the AUM.

Marriage is the most sacred union upon earth. It commemorates, firstly, the union of the soul with the I AM Presence. Secondly, it commemorates the union of twin flames. One of the great joys and purposes of marriage is to bring forth children who can carry on in their mission, even as, through them, we are allowed to fulfill our mission. It is wise to respect the opportunity God gives us to bear children and to rejoice in the opportunity of giving life to those from whom sometime, somewhere we may have taken life.

You Can Be a Member of the Priesthood of Melchizedek
The Priesthood of Melchizedek is very active on the earth today. In a landmark dictation given in Portland, Oregon, May 28, 1986, Saint Germain announced a dispensation whereby one hundred and forty-four thousand priests from the Priesthood of Melchizedek formed a violet-flame Maltese cross over the city:

The priesthood of the ascended master Melchizedek is of the seventh ray and the seventh age. You can request to become a member of that order. The first step is the giving of the violet flame. You can also write a letter to Jesus, Melchizedek, and Archangel Zadkiel, asking to be trained in the priesthood of the Order of Melchizedek. Burn the letter, and the angels will take it to the heaven-world. Each day, give violet-flame decrees and ask to be taken while your body sleeps at night to Archangel Zadkiel's retreat for training.

The New Testament declares that all Christians are part of a "royal priesthood" (1 Peter 2:5-9) who have direct access to God.

Darwin, Megginson, and Lanello

Charles Darwin is most known for establishing the theory of evolution by natural selection, which posits that species change
over time, adapt to their environment, and descend from common ancestors. Some say that this quote is really attributed to - Leon C. Megginson.

Significantly, Megginson was a prolific author of textbooks and a prominent teacher in management studies, the field in which the quotation remains most pervasive. One of Megginson's former students recalled that 'I learned a lot of good things from Leon Megginson's classes. One of the most valuable things I heard him say went something like this: Charles Darwin didn't say that only the strong survive. What he said was that those who survive are the ones who most accurately perceive their environment and successfully adapt to it.'

Beloved Lanello says: Change will come in a number of ways, suddenly or gradually, as God intends it. Be ready for change! Move in advance of change! Always be ahead of the wave of Light and the consciousness of Light, and you will know a victory untold. But if you are forever running after the wave after it has passed you by, you will never catch up, you will never be there on the cutting edge of change, you will not recognize the winds of change. And I speak not of fads but of movements in the earth body, of karmic cycles, and cycles of opportunity, which, if not taken, will be lost.

Kuan Yin
Kuan Yin’s flame is the color of orchids, the pink of divine love tempering the blue of the will of God. Her flower is a pink and violet lotus; the center, being pink, is as the mercy flame, becoming deeper and deeper violet on the periphery.

Divine Mother Figures
Kuan Yin, Mother Mary, Lakshmi
The Aquarian age is the age of the Mother and the Holy Spirit. It is the age when we are meant to experience and express the Mother aspect of God. Coming to understand this feminine aspect of God can liberate the creative feminine energy within us, both man and woman—the energy of beauty and creativity, intuition and inspiration.

Kuan Yin is beloved as a mother figure and divine mediatrix. Her role as Buddhist Madonna has been compared to that of Mary, the mother of Jesus, in the West. She is revered in Buddhism as the compassionate Saviouress, the Bodhisattva of Mercy. The Bodhisattva Kuan Yin is known as the Goddess of Mercy because she embodies the God-qualities of mercy, compassion, and forgiveness. From her etheric retreat, the Temple of Mercy, she ministers to the souls of humanity, teaching them to balance their karma and fulfill their divine plan through loving service to life and application of the violet flame.

Mother Mary, after her ascension, was made representative of the World Mother with the title of Queen of Heaven for the Christian Dispensation. Although all ascended lady masters keep the flame for the World Mother, as her representative, we think of Mary as the archetype of Motherhood, the Mother of mothers. She has a blue cape focusing that will and its intense protection for the Christ consciousness emerging within every soul, and when called upon, she will place that cape around all who are in need of the protection of a mother’s love.

The Goddess Lakshmi is an embodiment of the Divine Mother. According to the teachings of Hinduism, she is the consort of Vishnu, the Second Person of the Trinity. Vishnu was incarnated nine times, and in each of his incarnations, Lakshmi took human form to serve as his consort. She embodies divine compassion and intercedes on our behalf before her consort. She is the mediator of the Mediator! Lakshmi is described as being “as radiant as gold” and “illustrious like the moon.” She is said to “shine like the sun” and “to be lustrous like fire.” Whatever matrix is in her hand, whatever you hold in your heart, Lakshmi can multiply by the millions, for one idea can be reproduced infinitely.

"Most Sacred Treasure of the Mountains"
This painting depicts the painting "Most Sacred Treasure of the Mountains (Himalayas),” created in 1933 by Nicholas Roerich, now ascended.

Roerich’s artistic development was profoundly shaped by Russian Symbolism, a movement that sought to evoke emotional and spiritual depths through evocative imagery and suggestive forms. This artwork presents the idea of seeking "treasure" in a spiritual sense rather than material wealth, a spiritual treasure that’s available to all who are willing to reach for it. It depicts crystalline forms glowing with light, symbolizing a gateway to hidden knowledge and higher realms. The Himalayas were a central subject in Roerich's paintings, representing a spiritual location.

Nicholas Roerich (1874-1947) was a well-known artist. He and his wife, Helena Roerich, served during the early twentieth century as amanuenses for the ascended masters El Morya and Maitreya. Amanuenses are literary or artistic assistants, in particular those who take dictations or copy manuscripts.

Nicholas ascended at the conclusion of that lifetime. Helena is still in embodiment.

Eternal Beauty Moves the Spirit of Man
“Ladies and gentlemen, if you begin your day with a sense of the difficult, I do not see how you can end it with any other sense. The Age of Aries
The Age of Aries (c. 2,150 BC-1 AD) is often interpreted as the shift from the Age of Ta**us (golden calf worship/materialism) to a new era of spirituality characterized by fire, law, and leadership. Moses is frequently cast as the archetypal Aries figure who leads this transition. Moses' demeanor in confronting Pharaoh, bringing the law, and leading with fierce dedication is seen as "Aries-like" or representative of the now authoritative "Age of Law.”

The Age of Aries was a turbulent, masculine-driven era marked by war, the rise of iron-age empires, and the shift from goddess worship to patriarchal "one god" religions. Symbolized by the Ram, this period emphasized martial law, individual leadership, and military strength, embodied by figures like Moses and Alexander the Great. We saw the rise of empires, ego, war, and individual initiative.

Moses, as the Hierarch of this age, is deeply aligned with Aries. Key events include his burning bush encounter, leading with a shepherd's crook (associated with the ram/sheep), and the sacrifice of the lamb (ram) during Passover. Just as Aries is about the ego, it requires limitation. Moses, like a true Aries leader, brings down the Ten Commandments (a Libran, or opposite-sign, balancing act of law) to create order out of the chaos of the wilderness.

In the age of Aries, we received the gift of knowing God the Father, the I AM THAT I AM. Abraham and the Hebrew patriarchs brought us the awareness of the Most High God (El Elyon) and Almighty God (El Shaddai). They knew the Person of the Father in the Ancient of Days. The Egyptian pharaoh Ikhnaton (c. 1380 b.c.) gave us the understanding of the one God represented as the sun. He saw its many rays ending in human hands, giving and sustaining all life. Moses, who some believe had been trained in the tradition of monotheism while living in Egypt, revealed the I AM THAT I AM as the identity of the Father individualized as the one God. - Vol. 33 No. 6 - The Messenger - February 11, 1990
