The final day of Collective 2026!

After days of worship, learning, laughter, advocacy, dancing, games, and new connections, participants packed their belongings and began the journey home.

With bagged lunches in hand, youth, young adults, and those who accompanied and supported them headed back to their communities. Young global partners also began their longer journeys home. Leftover food from the gathering was shared with a nearby shelter supporting people who are unhoused. carrying the spirit of community beyond Collective itself. Financial donations were also collected for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, which works ecumenically to end global hunger.

One youth participant summed up the bittersweet feeling: “I wish there was another Collective happening next year!”

While Collective 2026 may be over, we know what was experienced here continues: new friendships, deeper faith, renewed courage, and the knowledge that we do not journey alone.

May all the youth, young adults, global partners, volunteers, and leaders go with courage, with peace, and with a deep sense of belonging.

And lastly, we want to say THANK YOU‼️For all those who attended, who volunteered, who lead and guided, who made this week such a powerful one 🙌🏻 May we continue to support one another, brace the sometimes difficult realities we face in this world, and (em)brace one another for collective impact.

Until we meet again 🫶🏻

Collective 2026 – Day 3!

Keynote speaker JR LaRose and his son, Alozie, shared the spotlight, encouraging us to reflect on the plans we make for our lives - and the ways God’s plans might surprise, challenge, and call us into something more.

Workshops continued throughout the day, with participants choosing from an incredible range of experiences - from traversing the Bruce Trail to exploring spirituality, advocacy, leadership, and more.

At worship, we heard moving testimony from young global partners, learned new songs, and prayed together.

In discipleship groups, participants gathered in smaller communities to reflect on everything they’ve experienced this week, deepen new friendships, and explore how they might carry the spirit of Collective home with them.

Our final full day ended with a celebration in Jubilee Courtyard. Decked out in glow-in-the-dark attire, participants filled the courtyard with music, laughter, and dancing. Like David dancing before God, there was plenty of joyful movement.

As one participant put it:

“I didn’t really know what to expect coming here, but I’ve made so many friends and laughed so much. It’s cool being around people my age who are figuring out faith too. It's honestly over too quickly.”

Just one half-day left to (Em)brace for Impact together!
