St. Cecilia Catholic School Parent Community

St. Cecilia Catholic School Parent Community This page is for parents of children attending St. Cecilia Catholic School in Toronto, Ont. It is run by volunteers from the parent council (or CSPC). St.

Cecilia’s Catholic School Advisory Council (CSPC) is a group of parents and school staff who meet each month to connect with what is happening in the school; determining how best we can continue to foster and support student progress and spirit and exploring ways we can contribute to making positive changes that benefit the school, students and our community. CSPC also does a great deal of fundrai

sing for the school every year to be able to fund important student activities/initiatives like Scientists in the Classroom, art programs for all students, buses for school field trips and other opportunities. For additional details on CSPC, go to our parent blog at www.stceciliaparentcouncil.weebly.com

CSPC meetings are held once a month, at the school, and everyone is invited to attend. These meetings are a great way to get important information. You do not have to commit to being a CSPC member for the whole year, you can just attend meetings as your schedule permits. CSPC MEETINGS ARE HELD MONTHLY on the second Tuesday of each month during the school year. Typically, we do not meet in March.

Makhena’s presentation left a lasting impression on our school community. Alongside her brother, DJ MKWA, she shared meaningful messages of perseverance, humility, and self-compassion, reminding us all: you can do good things — believe, and believe in yourself.
Through an engaging presentation delivered in both French and English, students experienced the medicinal significance of Hoop Dancing while deepening their understanding of Indigenous culture and reflecting on our country’s history through personal stories and experiences. She concluded by inviting students to participate in Pow Wow social dances and reminded us that different perspectives can exist at the same time.
We are grateful for the time, knowledge, and spirit she shared with our school community. ❤️
