[A WEEKEND OF LABOUR & LOVE 🪴❤️]
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
A weekend in a very long time that I didn’t “work”, but I wouldn’t call it easy. This kind of work was soulful, filled with love and family and labour poured into a couple gardening projects. Spending the weekend gardening with my parents reminded me of something I think we often forget as we grow older. As a daughter of immigrants, if I’ve inherited anything it’s the hard working gene, aka the no days off mentality. As immigrant parents, they taught us to work hard, build something for ourselves, and never take the easy way out. But this weekend, I realized the greatest thing they built wasn’t a career, a home, or a garden. It was a life where I get to come home, get my hands dirty beside them, and still feel like their little girl. ❤️🌱 Somethings never change.
Hope you all had a restful, or soulful weekend. Recharged and reading for my second home tomorrow in clinic.
