❤️ What a Day to Remember! 🏏🎉

Another GCPC Sports Day in the books! Every year, we seem to raise the bar, and this year was truly something special! 🙌

A huge thank you to our amazing community for coming out in such great numbers and making the day memorable. There was something for everyone - cricket, Tug of War, Lemon & Spoon Race, Saatoliya, Dodgeball, and fun activities for our kids, including drawing and sack races. From our little ones to our seniors, everyone was in the game! ❤️

🌟 A special shoutout to all our young kids who stepped up and led the program this year! From anchoring and welcoming everyone to actively participating in the activities, our young, Indo- Canadian born generation showed incredible confidence, energy and community spirit. Kudos to you, kids - you made us proud! 👏❤️

🏏 Congratulations to the GCPC Holy Hitters team on winning GCCL 2026! 🏆 What a fantastic achievement, boys! Well played 👏

And a big congratulations to all the other award winners as well. Your participation, sportsmanship and enthusiasm made the tournament even more special. 🙌

We were truly honoured to have Ms. Amandeep Sodhi, Member of Parliament, the youngest Member of Parliament currently in the House of Commons, join us. Her encouraging words to our youth, appreciation for GCPC’s work over the years, and message about the importance of multiculturalism in Canada truly hit home.

🙏 A special thank you to Fr. Mani for leading us in prayer and bringing everyone together in faith.

And to every volunteer who went the extra mile - we simply can’t thank you enough. Whether you helped behind the scenes or were right in the thick of things, you made it happen! ❤️

At the end of the day, it wasn’t just about sports. It was about bringing people together, catching up with old friends, making new ones and celebrating the true spirit of community.

We are truly honoured to be recognized by our Member of Parliament, Amandeep Sodhi, MP, through the House of Commons of Canada, for GCPC’s continued community activities and Annual Sports Day.

This recognition would not have been possible without the incredible support of our community, volunteers, and past committees. 🙏

Thank you to each and every one of you for your continued dedication, support, and belief in GCPC.

It was a deeply moving and spiritual experience as we gathered for the GCPC Stations of the Cross, coming together in a peaceful and reverent way to reflect on the passion of Jesus. As we read through each station and carried the cross in memory of the sacrifice made for our sins, the atmosphere remained one of profound prayer and contemplation. We were truly blessed to have Fr. Francis Parmar deliver a powerful message, teaching us the importance of this holy month and reminding us that the true meaning of fasting and penance is found in how we love and help one another. The event concluded beautifully with a thoughtful quiz organized by Vatsal Patel, bringing our community closer together. A sincere thank you to Alpesh Macwan and Joyel Christi for their dedicated photography services in capturing these sacred moments. May we carry the spirit of this day with us as we continue our journey of faith.
