April 26, 2026. Our Sunday School commemorated The 111th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Under the guidance of the Parish Priest of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Vicar of the Armenian Church Canadian Diocese, students visited the Genocide Memorial. There, they offered prayers and laid flowers in remembrance of the 1.5 million martyrs.

The day also included a thoughtful discussion about the Armenian Genocide, followed by related coloring activities for the younger students. Both older and younger groups continued their choir lessons in preparation for their participation in the liturgy on May 10th. Our class concluded with a lesson on the Christian character trait of Gentleness.

Our day was filled with meaningful and enriching moments, beginning with a student reading from the Holy Bible during the liturgy—an opportunity extended to all proficient readers.

Our choir group, led by Mrs. Ivet Poposki, continues to work diligently in preparation for their participation in the May 10th church liturgy, where our students will have their voices heard on this special day.

Students were delighted to receive their hard-earned Christian patches for the second time this year, thoughtfully selecting from a variety of options and having them carefully ironed onto their tote bags.

In class, lessons focused on The Fruit Of The Spirit, with students engaging in related arts and crafts activities. Our younger students also enjoyed a visit to the Mario Gumushdjian Library, where they listened to a Christian story and borrowed books, while our older students participated in a Christian Character Trait lesson on Honesty.

April 12, 2026. We were blessed to receive a visit from our Parish Priest, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Vicar of the Armenian Church Canadian Diocese.
Fr. Zareh shared heartfelt words and prayers with our students, who were truly delighted by his presence.

Our day also included meaningful lessons on the Resurrection of Our Lord, while our older students participated in a special session dedicated to St. Paul. The Christian character trait highlighted today was Gratitude, reminding us all to give thanks in every circumstance.

It was a beautiful and memorable afternoon at the Palm Sunday Luncheon organized by the Holy Trinity Armenian Church Sunday School.
We were honored by the presence of Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Vicar of the Canadian Diocese and Parish Priest, and Yeretzgin Naira Zargarian, along with Rev. Fr. Hayari Tanashian, Pastor’s Assistant, Yeretzgin Maggy Tanashian, and their son. We were also pleased to welcome Holy Trinity Church Treasurer Rosa Avanesian, as well as Advisors Jaklen Esagholian and Alis Sarkisian.
The luncheon was filled with joy as our students took the stage to showcase their talents through instrumental performances, poetry, and dance. The room was filled with warm applause and pride. Guests also enjoyed a special Palm Sunday stage presentation adding a meaningful and spiritual touch to the afternoon.
This event’s success would not have been possible without the delicious meals lovingly prepared by our long time Sunday School dedicated mothers and grandmothers and the dedication of our Sunday School Parents Committee for organizing the children’s gifts and preparing the hall.
A special thank you to Alis Sarkisian, Advisor and Barev Chair, for her unwavering support throughout the preparation stages. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our MCs, Haigo and Mariam, our technician Arthur, and all our Sunday School volunteers who helped serve and support the event.
Last but not least, we are deeply grateful to our donors and sponsors, whose generosity allows our Sunday School to continue its mission of nurturing and guiding our youth in their faith journey.
Christ is risen from the dead! Blessed is the Resurrection of Christ! ✨
