So you fasted the entire month of Ramadan, may Allah, the Most Merciful, accept it from us, but do you want to know how you can get the reward for fasting the entire year without actually having to?

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: "He who observed the fast of Ramadan and then followed it with six (fasts) of Shawwal. it would be as if he fasted perpetually."

[Sahih Muslim 1164a ]

In Riyad as-Saliheen, it says: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who observes As-Saum (the fasts) in the month of Ramadan, and also observes As-Saum for six days in the month of Shawwal, it is as if he has observed As-Saum for the whole year." [Muslim].

May Allah, the Almighy, make us of those who fast and do good deeds and may He accept them from us. 🤲🏽

Are we deaf, dumb and blind? Do we see the signs from Allah, the Almighty, everyday but still deny?

In another place in the Quran, Allah, the Most Merciful, says:

"And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed [i.e., difficult] life, and We will gather [i.e., raise] him on the Day of Resurrection blind. He will say, 'My Lord, why have you raised me blind while I was [once] seeing?' [Allāh] will say, 'Thus did Our signs come to you, and you forgot [i.e., disregarded] them; and thus will you this Day be forgotten.'" - 20:124-126

Make sure you are not amongst these people on the day of judgement. We have our chance NOW. Heed the warnings. May Allah, the Most High, help us all and guide us to the straight path.

As muslims, we must stand with the truth, even if it means we have to stand against our loved ones. Some of the muslims in the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had to go to battle against their fathers, brothers, sons, uncles and other relatives. At other times, they had to accept someone who became muslim even though this person had killed their family members before their acceptance of Islam. If Allah, the Most Merciful, had cleansed them of their sins and forgiven them, then the muslims had to as well.

So, what was the deciding factor? It was the truth. When the truth comes to us, we can not default to the way we were taught simply because it is what we are comfortable with. We need to verify information through the Quran and Sunnah and ask the trusted scholars who you know truly follow the Quran and Sunnah.

On the day of judgement, our fathers, our mothers, our families will not be able to help us. Even if we follow the wrong footsteps, we will still pay for our own actions.

Always remember that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “My ummah will split into seventy-three sects, all of whom will be in Hell except one group.” They said: Who are they, O Messenger of Allaah? He said: “(Those who follow) that which I and my companions follow.” This is mentioned in the hadeeth of ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr which was recorded and classed as hasan by al-Tirmidhi (2641) and al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

"Do not eat with the left hand, for the devil eats with the left hand."

[Reported by Muslim, Book 8, Hadith 1063 (English translation)].

It was also narrarated that a man used to eat much, but when he embraced Islam, he started eating less. That was mentioned to the Prophet (ﷺ) who then said, "A believer eats in one intestine (is satisfied with a little food) and a Kafir eats in seven intestines (eats much). "

[Sahih al-Bukhari 5397 ]

"Tawhid is believing that Allah is One with no partner or associate in His Lordship (rububiyyah), divinity (uluhiyyah) or names and attributes (al-asma wa’l-sifat).

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

'Say (O Muhammad): He is Allah, (the) One [Ahad]. Allah-us-Samad [Allah — the Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, (He neither eats nor drinks)]. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him' [al-Ikhlas 112:1-4]

'And your Ilah (God) is One Ilah [ilahun wahidun] (God — Allah), La Ilaha illa Huwa (there is none who has the right to be worshipped but He), the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful' [al-Baqarah 2:163]

'Surely, disbelievers are those who said: ‘Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity).’ But there is no Ilah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilah [ilahun wahidun] (God —Allah). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall on the disbelievers among them' [al-Maidah 5:73]

And there are many similar verses.

In Sahih al-Bukhari (7372) and Sahih Muslim (19) it is narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent Mu’adh ibn Jabal to Yemen, he said to him: 'You are going to people from among the People of the Book, so let the first thing to which you call them be belief in Allah alone (Tawhid). If they accept that, then tell them that Allah has enjoined on them five prayers every day and night. If they pray then tell them that Allah has enjoined on them zakah from their wealth to be taken from their rich and given to their poor. If they agree to that then take it from them but avoid the best of people’s wealth.'

In Sahih Muslim it is narrated from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Islam is built on five (pillars) : belief that Allah is One, establishing regular prayer, paying zakah, fasting Ramadan and Hajj.'

What is meant by Tawhid in all these texts is affirming the meaning of the testimony that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, which is the essence of the religion of Islam with which Allah sent His Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), based on the evidence of the words of the Quran and Sunnah.

This indicates that Tawhid is the essence of the testimony that there is no god except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and that this is Islam with which Allah sent His Prophet to the two races of mankind and the jinn, other than which Allah will not accept any religion from anyone.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

'Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam' [Al ‘Imran 3:19]

'And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers' [Al ‘Imran 3:85] "

Is this a risk you can take? Don't you think it is upon us to search for the truth of this life? Don't you think we should try to figure out what our true purpose is? Or should we just coast through life without a care in the world and 'live for the moment' as they say?

The truth is found in the Quran and I say this with 100% conviction, Allhumdullilah.

Allah, the Most Wise, says in the Quran,

"This is the Book! There is no doubt about it—a guide for those mindful ˹of Allah˺..." 2:2

"I did not create jinn and humans except to worship Me." 51:56

This is our purpose, to worship Allah to the best of our abilites and strive against our desires to please Allah and attain His paradise.

May Allah, the Most Merciful, guide us to the straight path, keep us on the straight path and let us die on the straight path. 🤲🏽

Oh Allah, you are the Most Wise, allow us to accept your guidance and spread it to the rest of the world. 🤲🏽

Are you ready to return to Allah in this very moment? You, the person reading this, could be returned to Allah, the Most High, within the next hour and no one will be able to help you. Would you be content with the state that you meet Allah in? Make the changes you need to make, we don't have very long left.

Abu Huraira R.A narrated :

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Five are regarded as martyrs: They are those who die because of plague, Abdominal disease, drowning or a falling building etc., and the martyrs in Allah's Cause."

[Sahih al-Bukhari 2829]

Oh Allah, forgive all the muslims of the world, dead or alive, and help the muslims of the world that struggling with afflictions. 🤲🏽

What do you do when you are overwhelmed? How do you handle the stresses of your life? Do you turn to Allah? Do you cry to Him and complain to Him? Do you wake up in the last third of the night before Fajr and pray Tahajjud?

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said,

"No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that." [Sahih al-Bukhari 5641, 5642 ]

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

Allah descends every night to the lowest heaven when one-third of the first part of the night is over and says: I am the Lord; I am the Lord: who is there to supplicate Me so that I answer him? Who is there to beg of Me so that I grant him? Who is there to beg forgiveness from Me so that I forgive him? He continues like this till the day breaks.

[Sahih Muslim 758b ]

What excuse do you have? Allah, the Most Merciful tells us in this ayah of the Quran to seek help through patience and prayer and Allah, the Most High, is with the patient. SubhanAllah. Do we heed this order from Allah, Lord of the worlds?

Dua for grief and sadness in the last slide.
