Ibn Umar Islamic Centre’s 2-Day Conference

Assalāmu ‘alaykum,

With the summer period quickly approaching, we at Ibn Umar Islamic Centre, are excited Walhamdulilah, to announce an upcoming 2-day conference In shā’ Allāh. This conference is dedicated to addressing a range of important issues including faith, addictions and digital challenges.

Along with our local teacher Ustadh Ismail Farah, we’ll be hosting 2 additional guest speakers. Ustadh Abdulkadir Abdullahi from Australia and Ustadh Ayuub Peart from Ottawa will be joining us to discuss these critical topics. May Allāah preserve them all!

Assalāmu ‘alaykum,

Ibn Umar Islamic Centre is glad to announce that we will be hosting our first Eid Al Adha Salah prayer! Al-hamdulillāh we will be hosting this event in the park this year, specifically at *Marie Curtis Park*.

This event marks a significant milestone for our centre Walhamdullilah, and we are excited to gather together in the serene setting of Marie Curtis Park to perform the Eid Salah Bi’ithnillah.

We ask all attendees to please take note of the event details listed below. Attendees are *highly encouraged to come early for 9:00 AM* as the Eid Salah will be begin promptly at 9:30 AM. Parking is readily available and the walking distance to *Picnic Area 2* where the Salah will commence is close by.

Assalāmu ‘alaykum,

Ibn Umar Islamic Centre is glad to announce our Winter Conference from Feb 16-18, 2024.

Ustadh Abu AbdirRahmaan Samir, a respected Khateeb from Masjid Tawheed, Stone Mountain, Georgia, will instruct this enlightening weekend.

Taking place during the Family Day weekend, we encourage everyone to attend. This 3-day event will be an explanation the Hadith of the 7 under the shade of Allāah with a dedicated sisters' program on Sunday.

Bring your families and friends to benefit from this gathering of knowledge as we welcome our brother’s first time in Toronto, Canada. Jazākallāhu khayran, and we hope to see you there, In shā’ Allāh!

Assalamu alalykum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktu,

I hope you all are doing well and in good Eeman In shā’ Allāh.

We would like to announce to you:

Ibn Umar Islamic Centre presents

‘Children’s Summer Program’.

We have initiated this program to bring about our Islamic Tarbiyyah (education) & Tasfiyyah (cultivation) to our young ones as living in the West and holding onto our religion has become difficult for Muslims nowadays. It is imperative that we teach our children the basics of their religion, from daily Waajibat (obligations), and in increasing their Eeman, loving Allāah and His Messenger ﷺ. Hopefully, we ask Allāah, that by these means, we can develop our children into strong God-fearing individuals Bi’ithnillah!

This program will cover topics among many things:

- how one preforms the Wudu (ablution), pre-cleansing for prayer
- how to preform the prayer, step-by-step
- the Seerah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Program Details:

Ages: 7-13

Days: 2 days a week
Tuesdays & Wednesdays

Time: 2:00pm-4:30pm

Duration: 6 weeks
July 11th 2023 until August 16th 2023

Price: $150

There are however limited spaces available for this program!

🚨EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

Assalāmu ‘alaykum ikhwaan,

Al-hamdulillāh Markaz Ibn Umar is having a Khutbah workshop for our brothers to attend from Sat June 17th to Sun June 18th from 6pm-9pm In shā’ Allāh.

We have noticed a pertinent need for brothers to know the rulings related to Jummu’ah and relaying a Khutbah as needed in schools, universities, workplaces etc.

Due to this, we have responded to this need and are grateful to announce that our esteemed guest and teacher Shaykh Hussein al Fakih حفظه الله will be conducting this 2-day workshop.

Therefore, we request that brothers come and attend as it will be a vibrant knowledge-based event and refreshments will be available In shā’ Allāh.

⚠️ ANNOUCEMENT: Due to multiple requests, we have revised the days for the Kitab at-Tawhid classes. Moving forward we will be conducting classes Wednesdays & Saturdays, no more Sunday classes. Classes will still be 8pm and we will continue starting this Wednesday In sha Allaah.

It is with great joy that we now announce our first classes that will take place starting Jan 19th In Sha Allaah. We will first be covering Kitab at-Tawhid. This class will be twice weekly and open to the public. Please keep in mind of Covid-19 restrictions and limitations.
