1930 – Lutheran services begin in Cloverdale under Rev. A.H. A. L.H. L.E.

We value worship, family, community, and outreach and our greatest hope is to see people connected to Jesus. Haake

1934 – Zion Lutheran Church organized as a congregation.

1938 – Congregation reorganized.

1944 – Three lots purchased on Pacific Highway for a church building.

1945 – Rev. Albert Krahenbil installed as Zion’s first resident pastor.

1946 – Rev. Fenske installed as pastor; new chur

ch building dedicated.

1952 – Rev. Gierach installed as pastor.

1957 – Congregation takes a leap of faith and purchases 9.5 acres for $25,000.

1959 – Zion Lutheran School dedicated, with classes beginning in September.

1960 – Original church building sold.

1968 – Rev. Jones installed.

1970 – New sanctuary dedicated.

1972 – Zion Park Manor opens.

1975 – Rev. Dieter Mueller installed.

1983 – New sanctuary at south end of school complex opened, and old sanctuary renovated for school use.

1989 – Rev. Paul Schallhorn installed as assistant pastor.

1995 – Rev. Jim Mackereth installed as associate pastor.

1998 – Rev. Mackereth becomes senior pastor, Rev. Benno Dreger installed as associate pastor.

2001 – Work begins on replacement of school complex, with construction of gymnasium, kitchen and classroom wing.

2002 – Rev. John Grande installed as senior pastor.

2003 – Dedication of new school and chapel complex.

2004 – Brother Manfred Schmidt installed as Lay Minister

2004 – Rev. Andrew Craig installed as associate pastor.

2007 – Rev. Jefrey Koenig installed as senior pastor.

2008 – Jon Mayan became principal at Zion Lutheran School

2011 - Rev. Ian Wemyss installed as associate pastor.
