Father James Fleming was appointed Administrator of St. Patrick's and St. John Bosco parishes in January 2021 and has led our parishes through a difficult time, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent closure of our churches. Father Fleming has been a steady hand navigating us through this time of change and has provided sound guidance and comfort to our parishioners during these challenging times. Thank you, Father Fleming, for all you have done for St. Patrick's and St. John Bosco Parishes.

We are pleased to announce that Father Fleming will be the Pastor of the new St. Edward's Parish based out of St. Thomas of Villanova Church in Manuels, effective Wednesday, October 12th, 2022. Congratulations to Father Fleming on his first Pastoral appointment!

Thank you to all those who attended our final Mass this past Sunday. It was a beautiful celebration of our 141 years of faithful service to the west end of St. John’s.

We are currently transitioning all of our records to the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. We will not be issuing any more baptism and wedding certificates at this time in order for us to be able to complete this transition.

On October 11, 2022, if you would like a copy of your baptism and/or wedding certificate from St. Patrick’s Parish, you can contact the Basilica’s office by email at [email protected] or by telephone at (709) 754-2170.

This weekend we celebrate the 141st anniversary of St. Patrick’s church.

As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations our casevant pipe organ was installed in our choir loft.

Join us for our Mass of Thanksgiving, tomorrow, August 28 at 10:15 am.

You will hear the music of this marvellous instrument, played by our skilled organist, Mr. Jan Jasinski, as he accompanies our choir.
