Calling all high school and post-secondary students: Passionate about helping address food insecurity in St. John's? Come volunteer to serve a hot, fresh, free meal with Home Harbour at Cowan Heights United Church on Saturdays from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. any Saturday from September 2026 to June 2027. The goal is to bring everyone together, regardless of their food security status, to share a table as equals. By eating and sharing together, the distinction between who is in need and who is not disappears, creating a genuinely inclusive space for all. Volunteer positions as a greeter, meal server, helping set up and clean up are available. Criminal record and vulnerable sector check necessary.
