WHY DO CHRISTIANS GET TO SIN?

In the Bible there is a very clear distinction between the Flesh and the Spirit. If you follow your flesh you are under the law, the 10 commandments leads to death. (Rom 7:10). But if you follow the Spirit you are no longer under "that" law, now you are under the law of the Spirit. Rom 8:1-2 says "there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Jesus Christ has made me free from the law of sin and death".

So, when you ask Jesus into your life, He puts His Spirit in you and now you are under a different law. Confused?..... ok, let's give an example.

Example: if you drive on the highway going 220km/hr, and they pull you over, they will impound your car, handcuff you and drag your sorry ass butt to jail. But.... lets change locations to Germany, on the autobahn, and you go 220km/hr and pass a police car, there is no issue. Why? Because you are under a different law. Same action but different law.

So, as Christians, all things are allowed but not everything is good for you. As in our example, at 220km/hr, if you run over anything bigger than a squirrel your going into the ditch and you will die! Somethings are just wrong. You know it and God knows it... so moral law still takes its place and this is where "conviction" comes into place. Because the Spirit of God is your new life coach, He will give you a stern talking too. Just like a good parent would. 2 Cor 3:18 talks about being transformed into His image. The longer you walk with your life coach, the more you will look like Him.

So.... I hope this helps you understand..

The Kingdom of God is not a kingdom of word but of power. (1 Corinthians 4:20) Many times in ministry we default to "trying" to say the right words or praying a certain way. Hate to say it but it's like we are trying to say the "magic spell" that will heal someone. Through intellect and fancy words or long prayers you will never cast out a Demon. That only happens in a possition of Power and Authority.

But when you are full of the Fire of God, which comes from the Glory, which Jesus gave us. (John 17:22 & 2 Corinthians 3:18) As well as in the power of His annointing, that is God's burden lifting yoke destroying power. (Isaiah 10:27) You operate in power! Not elegance of speech.

You then simply need to call it out. Peter said to the cripple at the temple, who was crippled from birth... he said. LOOT AT ME, LOOK AT US! (Boldness, not pride) Silver and gold we do not have, but what I do have I give to you.... pick up your matt and walk. The man stood up. (Act3 3: 1-11) Peter understood that it was the Annointing and the Glory that Jesus gave him that Peter now can give out.

Important that you also demonstrate your sermon in power. It's called "working" of miracles. Do not be afraid to work it..... just do it. Faith is important but you only need a little and God will do the rest.
