The Sault Ste. Marie Museum is highlighting THE Q***R PROJECT!

The Q***r Project is an active collection of q***r history and stories in our community; a project that has been ongoing for several years at the Museum. They are conducting interviews as well as taking donations of digital or physical items that tell the stories of the 2SLGBTQIA+ in Sault Ste. Marie and the surrounding area.

If you are open to sharing your story or are interested in donating to the Museum, please contact [email protected]

COMMUNITY STORIES: OUR NEIGHBOURHOODS

The Sault Ste. Marie Museum is undertaking a project to create and develop informative exhibition pieces for local neighbourhoods and their development, alongside the development of Sault Ste. Marie as a community. The goal is to allow the community to better engage with local history, including significant developments and important people who made Sault Ste. Marie the city we live in today.

They are currently collecting information, artifacts, photos and documentation for Jamestown (Little Italy), Moffly Hill and Harris & Buckley. For more information, please visit the Museum's website at the link below!
