Are you a Christian? Today, it is common for people to say "I am a Christian". But are you really one? Acts 11:26 says "....And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch". The followers of the teachings (disciples) of Jesus Christ were the first Christians. Note that the follower of a particular teaching is always a doer of that teaching, otherwise he is not a true follower. Jesus said in Luke 6:46-48 "why do you call me Lord, Lord and yet don't do what I tell you?....". It would be illogical to profess that one is a Christian without being committed to doing the teachings of Jesus Christ that was spoken by him directly and later through his apostles. We can grow in our Christian journey by continually studying the word of God and committing to follow it (to do it), asking the Holy Spirit to help us in that journey.

The value of training. As a Christian, to develop expertise in your career or business, you must be willing to train and open to learning. In Luke 2:45, Jesus, at 12 years old, was sitting in the midst of doctors of the law, both hearing and asking them questions. He was learning from them (undergoing training). By the time he grew up and started his ministry, doctors of the law were the ones now learning from him - Luke 5:16. What is that business or career interest you have? Start your training now. There are free reliable online resources relating to whatever you want to do. Search them out as a start and decide as you go what next steps you need in your training.

As a Christian, are you dismissive of the existence of miracles or do you believe miracles exist? In the gospel of Luke, Chapter 4, there were two groups of people that encountered Jesus. The first group (Jesus' townsmen) in Nazareth were dismissive of miracles and expelled Jesus from his own city - verse 29. They saw no miracles. The second group in another city, Capernaum, believed in miracles and saw the mighty power of God at work through the healing of many people. They asked Jesus to stay and not depart from them - verse 42. What we believe is what we eventually get. Ask yourself this question: which group do I belong?

Centuries ago, as recorded in the bible, there was a business transaction between Abraham and another party that was documented! The need for documenting important transactions that we carry out with other people/parties cannot be overemphasized.

Anywhere there are unfaithful and untrustworthy people, the need for documenting transactions becomes much more important. Because unfaithfulness and untrustworthiness are not written on the face, there is no way to know unfaithful/untrustworthy people and institutions until, unfortunately, one falls victim.

Depending on the nature and size of the transaction, written contracts, emails, text messages, consented video/audio meeting recordings, invoices, receipts etc. are some ways by which important transactions can be documented in current times. Let us not be careless with transactions that matter to us by ensuring it is documented.

People have suffered the negative consequence of not documenting transactions. If documentation can be needed thousands of years ago, it is no less important today. See the image for biblical reference. Parts relating to documentation are emphasized in red fonts.
