Dear Marc, after installing the Tornado Flute Booster on my Prima Sankyo alto flute, it took off like a Ferrari. The increase in response, articulation and dynamic range is a dramatic improvement.

Hi. The Marc Jean Ligatures are not only holding the reed; they enlarge the sound by producing a larger spectrum of vibrations and harmonics.

The unique design is not belting reed on the mouthpiece but act as a second reed. No wonder why many musicians consider the Marc Jean Ligatures as the best they ever played. So many musicians cannot be wrong about it.
Nearly 50 % of them order a second and a third ligature.

The Evolution #4 version has a rounder lower section that keep the set up (lig & reed) well together when fine tuning.
Not only they look good but they perform even better than they look.

I received your ligatures in Victoria and used the soprano there - I was using a Silverstein and was able to compare them and I was quite take aback by the difference a ligature can make. As we know, there are many who think that they really do not have much effect on the sound, but this was really a challenge for such views. At first I could not decide which I preferred but quickly came to appreciate your ligature over the Silverstein, a position also supported by my musician wife. I used it for rehearsals and performance and it is now the only one I will use from now on. It adds depth to the sound and there seem to be more overtones so that one can play with nuances from very soft to screams. I use a Rampone Cazzani silver plated horn with a Giardullo Metropolitan and somehow your ligature likes the combination!
I str cannot get over how dramatic the effect is—more than with any other ligature I have ever tried—usually the changes are very small and subtle.
I am now trying out the bass clarinet one—the differences are not as pronounced,
I will write more!

My answer is my new French Kiss ligature. It add presence to the sound. An even larger sound from my Evolution #4 ligature. Only available for now for most tenor sax mouthpiece. Some better photos will soon be available.

Your ligature is the single biggest upgrade I’ve made on my baritone… an even bigger upgrade than the actual mouthpiece. That’s an odd thing to say since mouthpieces make such a huge difference, but your ligature transformed it into something spectacular.

People who say “the ligature just holds the reed on, so as long as it does that then they are all the same” have clearly never played one of yours!

I just got a Gen II for my Morgan Jazz GM, and I can’t believe the difference. Until using your ligature I’ve never been able to tell much difference from one ligature to another. My 1957 Mark VI Low A Bari went from having a nice low end and a weak upper range to having a full, thick low range and equally full and thick upper register that I didn’t know it was capable of. I told a friend that it was like going from driving a Honda Accord to getting behind the wheel of a Ferrari!
