Niagara Hellenic Dance Group Niagara Hellenic Dance Group is a traditional dance group based in St.Catharines, ON. The focus of the group is to preserve their Greek heritage in Canada.

Niagara Hellenic Dance Group is dedicated to preserving Greek heritage in the Niagara region. The group was founded in 2009, with the help of the youth of St.Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church and their teacher, Vasilios Zougras. The group is made up of members ranging in age from 15-30 years old; and since it's founding has seen a great growth and expansion. The group has had the honour of perform

ing in many festivals across Ontario & Quebec, and in 2014 embarked on a performance tour across Greece. Our goal is to continue our efforts in preserving traditional dance and culture for the Greek youth of the Niagara region.

Our group had the pleasure of performing as the half-time show for the Niagara River Lions basketball game on their Greek Night on March 23, 2017. Two of our members, Katie & Niki Nastopoulos also had the honour of singing the national anthem before the game that evening! We are so proud of our two members, Alex Quaranta & Xanthi Zourntos because they have stepped up to represent their culture in the Niagara Folk Arts Festival! Xanthi, who was our 2016 ambassador will be joining Alex for this year's festivities as Ambassador of the Year! The evening will be a great night of music, food, and drinks! There are many raffle prizes up for grabs as well, including sports memorabilia, wine tours, helicopter rides, and signed musical instruments!
