This week's Bible story came from Matthew 19 and Mark 10. One day people brought children to Jesus, hoping Jesus would bless them. When the disciples tried to keep the children away, Jesus rebuked them. Jesus told everyone there that the kingdom of God belongs to children. Toddlers and Kinderchurch kids learned that Jesus welcomed the children in the Bible story, and He welcomes them too because He made them with worth. Ask your preschoolers to share with you a toy or possession that they value and that is important to them. Share to them that God values them very much because He made them with worth and value!

This week we celebrated Hooray Day, a special day where we celebrate God! This Hooray Day was a big celebration because we learned that David understood that God knew everything about him. God even knew the words David would speak. God knows everything about us too! God leads us to know Him because He loves us. At mealtime this week, talk about the different things that make members of your family special. Remind family members that God knows everything about them.

Our Toddlers and Kinderchurch learned that Jesus wanted everyone to know that loving others, even when it is hard, makes us more like God. When we love everyone, people can see God's love shining through us. We can love like Jesus and know God has a plan for us. As you are out and about this week, talk about times when it is to love others and times when it is easier to love others. Help your kids see that they can love like Jesus, even when it is hard.

This week we taught the Toddlers and Kinderchurch that they can trust like Jesus. In our Bible story, Jesus told the people, "Don't worry! God knows everything you need." We can trust Jesus and know God has a plan for us. We can follow our leader, Jesus, and live like Him. Trust is believing that God will take care pf you and do what He says He will do. We can trust Jesus and know God has a plan for us. Talk with your family this week about times when you need to trust God.

Our Toddlers and Kinderchurch learned this week that they can serve like Jesus. In our Bible story, Jesus warned people not to let money or things take first place in their lives. "You can't serve both God and money," He said. Jesus taught that to live as part of God's family meant serving other, choosing kindness, and loving God more than everything else. Jesus' words help people love and serve like Him. God has a plan for us, and we can follow our leader, Jesus, and live like Him. Take time this week to pray with your kids for opportunities to serve like Jesus.

This week, Our Toddlers and Kinderchurch learned that they can live like Jesus. In our Bible story, Jesus taught about wise and foolish builders. Jesus' words help people be strong and live like Him, even when things are hard. God has plan for us to have a friendship with Him. Play a game of follow-the-leader with your kids. Talk to them about how in the game, they will do what the leader does. Remind them that we can follow our leader, Jesus, and live like Him.

This week Toddlers and Kinderchurch learned that they need God's hope. In our Bible story, Elijah needed water and food, and God provided for him. God told Elijah to go into town. There he would find a widow who would give Elijah what he needed. The woman was also hungry and did not have enough food on her own, but Elijah said that they could hope in God- God would provide. God provided for both the widow and Elijah and gave them hope because He cared for them. We can hope knowing God takes care of us too! Remind your children that Elijah hoped in God, and God provided food for Elijah. We can hope in God, too, and know He cares for us.

This week, we taught our Toddlers and Kinderchurch that we need God's help. In our Bible story, the people who were with Jesus and His disciples were hungry and needed God's help. Jesus fed each person until they were full with just five loaves of bread and two fish. Just like the people needed God's help, we need God's help too. Ask your kids, "What are some things you need to help with?" (Examples could include being kind, cleaning up toys, and feeling better when she is sad.) Each time your child names something, raise your hands high and say, "God helps me!" together.

Our Toddlers and Kinderchurch learned that we need God's forgiveness. In our Bible story, a Samaritan woman met Jesus at a well and learned that she needed God to forgive her for her wrong choices. We need God to forgive us too. We all make wrong choices that hurt our friendship with God. Those choices can cause hurt in us, too, but God loves us and is always ready to forgive us when we ask. He will help us through our hurt!
