Our Toddlers and Kinderchurch learned that their names are special to God. In Samuel 3, God called Samuel's name and gave him an important message. God made Samuel special from head to toe, and God made us special too! As you are out and about this week, talk about different people you know, say their names, and remind your kids that their names are special to God.

This week was Hooray Day! On Hooray Days, we get to celebrate God in a special way. Preschoolers learned that God leads us to have faith. In Hebrews 11, we read about people who had faith despite many challenges. They trusted and believed God, and we can too. This week, celebrate different good things God has done. Share that God helps us have faith through trusting, following and celebrating Jesus.

This coming Sunday, our Grade 1-6 kids will learn about Paul teaching in Athens. Paul showed courage by sharing God's truth even in a place filled with different ideas and beliefs. His story reminds us that God can use anyone- young or old to shine His light wherever they are. Paul didn't let an unfamiliar city stop him from sharing hope. Be encouraged today. God can use you wherever He places you!

This week our Toddlers and Kinderchurch learned about a man named Paul who told many different people in different places about Jesus. The kids learned that sharing Jesus is important and that God can work through us to help other people know, love, and follow Him. As you are out and about this week, point to different places and ask your kids, "Can we share Jesus there?" Help them see that sharing Jesus is important and that we can share Him here and now.

In Exodus 3-12, the leader of God's people, and Pharaoh, the leader of Egypt, showed what it looks like to obey and disobey God with actions. Moses trusted and obeyed God to lead God's people to freedom from Egyptians. Pharaoh disobeyed God by refusing to let the people go. We can obey God with our actions, like Moses did. When your kids obey the first time, say, "Thank you for obeying! We can follow and obey God too!"

This week our Toddlers and Kinderchurch learned that God helps us with our words. A follower of Jesus named James wrote a letter teaching that our lives can point other to God. He wrote that our words have a power- the power to build up and the power to tear down. Preschoolers learned that controlling what we say helps us follow God all the way. Make an extra effort this week to speak words that build others up, helping your kids see the power godly words have.

Our Bible story this week was about a wise king named Solomon. When Solomon had the opportunity to ask God for anything, Solomon asked for wisdom. Throughout his life, Solomon made wrong choices, but he also showed the value of knowing and following God's wisdom. God helps us with our thoughts by giving us His wisdom. Our Toddlers and Kinderchurch can know that God also helps us trust and follow His wisdom. Throughout the week, ask your kids, "What are you thinking about?" Share that God helps us with our thoughts and gives us wisdom to know and follow Him.

This week we celebrated Easter by teaching preschoolers that God sent Jesus for us. Jesus obeyed God when He died on the cross to take the punishment we deserved because of sin, the wrong choices we make. But on the third day, Jesus came back to life and showed that He is more powerful than sin and death! God sent Jesus to make way for us to have a friendship with God, and we can enjoy that relationship and obey God too. Share with your kids that we celebrate Easter because of what Jesus has done, and we can celebrate that every time we obey God.

This week we celebrated Hooray Day, a special day where we celebrate God! This Hooray Day was BIG celebration, because we learned about when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. This day is often called "Palm Sunday" People had been waiting and hoping that God would send His promised Savior. They celebrated Jesus by laying down clothing and palm branches and shouting, ''Hosanna!" which means, "Save us!" Like the people of Jerusalem had hope, we can have hope that Jesus will return one day and make everything new. Ask your preschoolers what they are looking forward to when they start school. Share that we can be excited for new things, but we can also be excited, have hope, and know for sure that something good is coming because Jesus promised to return so one day we can live with Him forever.
