I would like to invite you to help us spread the word about an important international event that will take place on 3 October 2026: the Second Online Symposium on Spiritual Intelligence in Education – Teaching from Within: An Integral Approach to Education.

The symposium will bring together internationally recognized speakers, including Laurence Freeman, Danah Zohar, Cindy Wigglesworth, Alexander Moreira, Patricia Cury to explore how education can nurture not only cognitive and emotional development, but also meaning, purpose, resilience, compassion, and the inner life.

This event is especially relevant for:
Teachers and educators
School and university leaders
Parents
Students
Anyone interested in contemplative education and the development of the whole person.

Dear Friends,
We are delighted to invite you to our first WCCM-Toronto Talks & Dialogue event of the season on Thursday, September 24 7:00-8:30 PM, featuring James Finley renowned teacher of contemplative spirituality and former student of Thomas Merton.
In this special session, James will explore how contemplative life opens us to moments of divine presence in the midst of ordinary experience. Drawing on his years at the Abbey of Gethsemani under Thomas Merton’s guidance, and on the wisdom of mystics such as John of the Cross and Teresa of Avila, he will reflect on how God gently “lures” us toward deeper union, and how meditation helps us discern, cooperate with, and embody this unitive path.

His talk will illuminate the balance between structured practice and the intimate, unstructured encounter with the Divine that can arise in daily life.

The format will follow our familiar rhythm: 45‑minute talk • 20‑minute meditation • 20‑minute dialogue.

The event will be held online via Zoom.
