We will be butchering next week. If you would like to order a half or whole Gotland lamb, you can input how you would like it cut. (We need to know by Tuesday evening, Nov. 7). Lovely established flock of Gotland/Finn sheep. Unfortunately, we no longer have the pasture required to maintain them. We would love to move them as a group, but we could also separate them.
The flock consists of:
Feah: The herd queen. Born in 2017, she is 65.25% Gotland. Charcoal grey, good curls, on average she throws triplets.
Maeb: Born 2022. Silver locks, perfect Gotland curls, 67%
Orlaith: Born 2022. Silver locks, perfect Gotland curls, 67% (Maeb's twin)
7 lambs from this year: 6 males and 1 female, all between 65-67%
Gotland's are specialty heritage animals. They are good milky mothers, and routinely throw triplets or twins. The meat is fine-textured and sought after, and the wool (shorn twice/year) is highly prized by the hand-spinning community.

UPDATE: SOLD. Good morning. We had a small flock of five Gotland/Finn sheep last fall, and our four ewes all had triplets, who are all alive and thriving! We don't have room for everyone! We are looking to find a new home for a flock of six beautiful ewes/ewe lambs. The three older ewes are currently still nursing, and could be milked.This combination of breeds makes for friendly, beautful, medium-sized animals who often have multiple babies; their meat is excellent and the pelts are highly marketable. In addition, these sheep are shorn twice/yearly, producing long-staple, curly wool that is highly sought after in the spinning/weaving/felting community. We will be acquiring a new, purebred Gotland ram this year, and stud services could be available. Please message if you would like more information, or to arrange to come and visit.
