🍁Come join us for the 15th annual Women’s Fall Retreat on Saturday, October 26 from 9 am to 3:30 pm. The retreat will be held at Holy Cross Catholic School, 521 Clothier Street, Kemptville, ON.
🎤The guest speaker, Nancy Steele, is a well-known author and motivational speaker. Nancy will address the theme, “The Steadfast Love of the Lord” (Lamentations 3: 22-23). Nancy will present two interactive keynote talks, with opportunities for discussion. She will invite the attendees to ask themselves: “Where do I see God’s steadfast love?” In her book, “From Stumbling Blocks to Stepping Stones”, Nancy chronicles her life journey with a chronic health issue, and her faith-filled perseverance and trust in God.
📕Nancy’s second book, “Love Defined”, is a reading of, and reflection on, 48 scripture passages - using the discipline of Lectio Divina. As a culmination to the day Nancy will introduce us to this method of scripture study.
⛪️The day will begin with Mass in Holy Cross Catholic Church, celebrated by our spiritual advisor, Father Brian McNally. Music and singing during the Mass and at various points throughout the day will be led by Cynthia Fediuk-Mombourquette and Anna Brown. The retreat will include snacks and a delicious lunch, and the day will culminate in the exchange of prayer partners.
