We are actively looking for young people to join our Holy Spirit Child/Youth Choir. This choir sings every Sunday at the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Practices are held every second Sunday after the 10:30 a.m. Mass (from about 11:30 a.m. to 11:55 a.m.).The practices usually coincide with hospitality in the church hall. Many parents find this convenient, as while they are enjoying some coffee and treats, the kids are having their practice. The choir members also get goodies/refreshments after the practices and a Christmas celebration for the kids just before Christmas. All ages welcome and no prior experience required.

We celebrated St Phoebe, who served as a deacon in 55 AD, with St Paul. Three women parishioners, Joyce Hogan, Louise Beggs and Suzanne Massie, supported by Team Holy Spirit, offered reflections on her and the Synod at each Mass. The next two weeks are special as we celebrate St. Phoebe. We invite you to learn about her and hear the reflections from three wonderful women parishioners on Sept. 9 and 10. Discerning Deacons has greatly helped rekindle our memory of St Phoebe to celebrate her ministry and to inspire us to be like her!
