🥳 We’re excited to share some amazing news!

Thanks to our strong partnership between local councils and community groups, $4,000 from St. John Chrysostom’s Knights of Columbus Council #6643, together with the support of Knights of Columbus Council #10586 (St. Thomas of Villa Nova) and the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Women’s Guild, we were able to purchase over 400 brand-new Coats for Kids this year! ❄️🧥

A special thank you to Bingo World and Gaming Newmarket Newmarket Charitable Gaming Association Charitable Gaming. Community Good. for helping us make this donation possible! Your support truly made a difference.

These coats have already been distributed to local families in need through our community partners and delivered to students through local schools across Newmarket.

💙 This is what happens when our community comes together in charity and service — children in our community will stay warm this winter because of you.

Thank you to everyone who supported this mission, prayed for its success, and helped us reach families who needed a little extra warmth this season.

RIP Pope Frances!

With Pope Francis’ death announced, we give thanks to God for the extraordinary gift of his life and ministry. He awakened the Church to the bold promptings of the Holy Spirit, compelled us to let the cry of the poor shape our mission, and challenged us to trust in the fire of hope carried by young people. He reminded us that the Gospel is not a treasure to be hoarded but a joy to be shared—and that we are called to set the world ablaze with its light.

May Jesus, the Good Shepherd and Risen Lord, welcome His faithful servant into the joy of the Resurrection, and may the Blessed Virgin, whom he trusted so tenderly, gather him fully into the embrace of her Son.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.

We are honoured and really proud that we were able to donate over $1,400 to Community Bread out of St. John Chrysostom Roman Catholic Parish at our Valentine's Dinner and Dance on February 15th.

Community Bread hosts a no questions asked meal every Monday night at the St. John Hall on Main Street.

Today we honoured our men and women who have kept us safe and those who continue to keep us safe.

We thank the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 426 Newmarket for all they do and to all the cadets who work so hard towards this and stand vigil over the cenotaph.
