Grace worked it out for Saul to Paul
Grace worked it out for Esther she became a Queen. Grace worked it out for Joseph he became a prime minister. Grace turned Jacob to Israel. Therefore I prophecy on you today that you are the next candidate for the Grace of God in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Good morning and do have a wonderful week

There are people who can walk away from you. And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walk away from you, let them walk.

I don’t want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. I mean hang up the phone.

When people can walk away from you let them walk. Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left. The Bible said that, ‘they came out from us that it might be made manifest that they were not for us.

For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us.’ [1 John 2:19]
People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not
joined to you, you can’t make them stay. Let them go. And it doesn’t mean
that they are bad people, it just means that their part in the story is
over. And you’ve got to know when people’s part in your story is over so
that you don’t keep trying to raise the dead. You’ve got to know when it’s
dead.

You’ve got to know when it’s over. Let me tell you something. I’ve got the
gift of good-bye. It’s the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye.
It’s not that I’m hateful, it’s that I’m faithful, and I know whatever God
means for me to have He’ll give it to me. And if it takes too much sweat I
don’t need it. Stop begging people to stay. Let them go!
If you are holding on to something that doesn’t belong to you and was
never intended for your life, then you need to LET IT GO!

If you are holding on to past hurts and pains …LET IT GO!
If someone can’t treat you right, love you back, and see your worth…LET IT GO!
If someone has angered you … LET IT GO!
If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge. LET IT GO!
If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction … LET IT GO!
If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents… LET IT GO!

If you have a bad attitude…LET IT GO!
If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better… LET IT GO!
If you’re stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in
Him… LET IT GO!

If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship…LET IT
GO!
If you keep trying to help someone who won’t even try to help
themselves…LET IT GO!
If you’re feeling depressed and stressed…. LET IT GO!

If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling
yourself and God is saying, “take your hands off of it,” then you need to…
LET IT GO!

Let the past be the past. Forget the former things. GOD is doing a new
thing! LET IT GO!

Get right or get left, think about it, and then LET IT GO!
“The Battle is the Lord’s!”

Almighty Father, I thank You graciously for the New Year 2023. I ask You, Lord, to bless my family, as we begin this blessed new year with a renewed hope in You. Lord, I thank You so much for all that You have done for my family and I. Your hand on our lives is so much more than we could ask for.

WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS, TRY THIS! Scripture Reading: Ephesians 5:22-25 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her. Everyone lives with expectations- expecting others to behave a certain way. Parents expect it from their children and children, from their parents. Spouses expect it from the “the other half”; when they don’t, it creates a “gap” and various types of reactions! We live at a time when more and more people are saying “no” to the other person, when things don’t go the way people expect. Bible But then, are we expected to live in a way the other person expects, so that we can just avoid conflicts? What if “I am right” and the other person is wrong? So, many people stop “expecting”, and they finally say, “I can’t change him/her; they are like that and will not change!” Some others keep on yelling at the other person all their life, even though nothing changes for good; they do it every day, like a “job”! Some just walk away! Many of us even expect God to do things the way we want it; if not, we “quit”! We want our company or employer to behave the way we want; we want them to give us raise and promotions as we want it! This “remote control mentality” will not work all the time; many parents get tired of telling their children to study or live a certain way, and they get upset when nothing works, except spoiling their relationships. That child has to feel in his/her heart that they should do things in the right way. All the saying and “yelling” may be like pouring water onto a vessel turned upside down! But there is still hope; try prayer! Prayer changes people; If you are tired telling the same thing over and over to the other person, divert that energy into prayer; start praying for that person You WILL see change! But there is only one problem; it may not be the other person that God starts working on first; it may be you-the praying person If you can “afford” that, go ahead; pray! The only one we cannot change through prayer, is God! You read that right; the only one we cannot change through prayer, is God! Look at the sun; the sun is always shining the same way. We can either get under a shade or go out in the sun and get more heat & light; we change our position and not the sun! When we pray, God changes us and He changes the various things and people around us! The final answer could be “yes”, “no” or “wait”! God is always good; He never wants to keep our blessings away from us. When we are willing to wait and pray, God will do it for us; don’t rush! The greatest miracle that God will do when we pray, is that He will change us first! Prayer: Lord, Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground!

CORNELIUS, A MAN OF GOD

Scripture Reading: Acts 10:1-4

There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always. About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!” And when he observed him, he was afraid, and said, “What is it, lord?” So he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God.

When you look at the life of this man Cornelius, there are four points that stand out. The first one is that he was a devout man. He was committed to the God of the Jews. We have to remember that he was not a Jew, (he was Italian) but God saw that he was devoted to Him.

Second, we see that he was a man that feared God, and taught his family to have reverence for God also. God is looking for people who will love Him and honor Him, and people who will raise their children to know and love Him.

Third, we see that he was a generous man. God sees how we handle our money. Is it all about us, or do we care for the poor? Do we care for the work of the church? The Bible says that Jesus was watching the widow who gave all that she had, which was two mites. Here we see that God also watched Cornelius’ giving. I want God to get excited when He sees my giving. How about you?

Lastly, it says that he prayed always. God notices a person of prayer, and He is there to reward him. Remember, Jesus said when we pray in secret, our Heavenly Father sees us, and He rewards us openly.

So, because of these four things, God used this man to open the Gospel to the whole Gentile world. Today, let us look at these four areas in our lives, and see where we can improve!

Today, I want to be a person like Cornelius. I want to be a devout person who is committed to the cause. I want to be a person that fears the Lord, and teaches my family to fear Him also. I want to be a big giver. And last of all, I want to be a person of prayer.

GUIDED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

Scripture Reading Acts 8:29-31

The Holy Spirit said to Philip, ‘Go over and walk along beside the carriage.’ Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. Philip asked, ‘Do you understand what you are reading?’ The man replied, ‘How can I, unless someone instructs me?’ And he urged Philip to come up into the carriage and sit with him.

Are you a big party kind of person or a small, simple coffee with a friend kind of person? Maybe, like me, you enjoy both at different times. After all the drama and excitement of the arrival of the Holy Spirit and thousands becoming Christians in those early days, I find great comfort and encouragement from this small story found in the middle of that noise.

Here, we see a completely different side to the Holy Spirit. Perhaps, after all the big moves of the last few weeks, He longs to find respite in the quiet encounters again, in the same way that we need rest after a busy week. What can we learn, then, from Philip and this peaceful meeting? We can follow his example in being ready, being observant, being invited and being understanding.

First, he is ready and willing to follow wherever the Holy Spirit leads. Are we as ready to follow those promptings?

Second, he is observant. Yes, the Holy Spirit leads him to the carriage, but he doesn’t give him step-by-step instructions of why or what to do next. Philip notices the man and gets the picture, this is why he has been led there and he observes what is needed next.

Third, he waits to be invited. Many times, where the Holy Spirit leads, He has already prepared a heart, so the hard work is done. Yes, we should offer an invitation to start a conversation, but then we should wait until the person is ready to invite us in.

Finally, Philip is understanding of where that person is at. He doesn’t judge this person for not knowing what he is reading but meets him there and helps him to understand more.

Are you ready to follow where the Holy Spirit leads? Pray and ask Him to lead you to some quiet encounters with people this week, readying your heart to respond like Philip did.

God on High, my Lord and my Savior. Let me serve you Lord, and all those who do your bidding in your name. Show me wisdom in heeding the words of my spiritual leaders, who preach you word each and every day. Lift also their burdens Lord, for heavy may be the weight and difficult the tasks entrusted upon them by their congregations and community. Strengthen their faith and allow the Holy Spirit to work within them for the benefit of our your followers. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

PEACE BE WITH YOU NOW AND FOREVER John 14:27
Christians take so much of what God has given to them for granted, and that is not even mentioning those that choose not to believe. There is so much conflict and drama in the world that it is easy to overlook the fact that we all have a choice on whether or not we wish to act and live peacefully. Protests, wars, racism, bigotry, greed...the world is filled with evils that God could seemingly end with a snap of His fingers. God gave us that choice, however, the gift of choosing peace: peace of minds, peace of hearts.
"Not as the world giveth, give I unto you." The world's version of peace and even love is not the same as what Christ has given. Be comforted by his words! It is easy to feel afraid or alone when times are tough, but we must turn to the Lord to be comforted, to be at peace. God is not only with us, he is inside of us, all of us, now and forever.
We do not deserve the peace, grace, and forgiveness that has been given to us by God, but we certainly must embrace them. To refuse such gifts is madness, and as Christians, it is our duty to help others to also see the light of the Lord. Embrace the light within all of us and others will be drawn to it, like a moth to a flame, like sinners to the Lord.

Have you ever met an unhappy Christian? It is sad when we encounter other believers who have negative spirits because this is not how God called us to live. Rather than acting unhappy, we should be glad because we serve a mighty and loving God. Why would the world want to have what we have (eternal hope) if we act miserable? If you are in a season of bitterness, ask God to change your heart and fill it with gladness.
