If you've been meaning to study the weekly Torah portion but don't know where to start, come study with me!

"Torah From the Beginning" is a weekly zoom Torah study group that assumes no prior knowledge. Maybe you're in a conversion process or recently completed it. Maybe you forgot everything you knew from Hebrew school. Maybe you just want to start at the beginning!

We will meet weekly on Tuesday afternoons at 3pm ET, starting October 6.

Rabbis, cantors, and teachers of Judaism: Do you have an awesome class to teach?

Laasok is seeking proposals for engaging, interactive, text-rich classes, to be taught on zoom during 2026-27. We’re especially, but not only, interested in classes that engage creatively with social justice or Jewish holidays.

Laasok is looking for a part-time Program and Operations Coordinator!

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is tech-savvy and enjoys organizing projects and helping programs run smoothly. If you’re energized by the idea of building a vibrant community of Jewish learners, we'd love to hear from you. This is a remote position: 5 to 10 hours per week, with potential for growth.

I'm thinking next year I'll teach a monthly class to the Laasok community, open to all. Are there particular topics or texts you'd like to study with me?

Looking forward to this series! Come join me if you want to explore radical Jewish views of God.

What if the Jewish idea of God is… not what you think?

Spinoza rejected a personal God.
Maimonides stripped God of all human qualities.
Judith Plaskow reimagined God through a feminist lens.

These aren’t fringe ideas—they’re part of the Jewish conversation.

In this 4-session series, Rabbi Micah Streiffer will explore some of Judaism’s most radical thinkers—and use them to ask our own biggest questions about God.
