A Prayer for Northwestern Ontario 🙏
Our Father in Heaven we pause and pray for Northern Ontario.
As nearly 200 forest fires threaten towns, villages, and First Nations communities, and as smoke covers much of the North, we pray for rain. As the fire situation continues to be dynamic and volatile, we pray for the safety of residents as many evacuate from their homes. First and foremost be pray for the preservation of life.
We ask for continued courage and a strong morale for the front-line firefighters and pilots. As we pray, we also intercede for the local MPPs of each riding affected by these fires. We ask for wisdom and discernment from the Premier, Doug Ford and for all the staff at the MNR and the Provincial Emergency Operations Centre who continue to monitor the situation. We pray for accurate data to make the best decisions for the safety and security of Northern Ontario.
Additionally, we pray for every community in Ontario that is affected by smoke and air quality. For the most vulnerable of the population, we pray for a covering and a positive change in winds. Where supernatural intervention is needed, we ask your Spirit to move across the province expediently. We thank you for your great love across Ontario. We pray by faith and because of your Grace.
