🍔 Thanks to everyone who joined us last week for our BBQ!

It was a great way to celebrate the end of EPIC and Onside summer camps and hangout together! Plus, yummy food is always a win!

Our summer camps are over, but there's more fun for kids this fall!

AWANA is our kids club that runs on Wednesday evenings from September to May. There are just a few spots left!

Ever wondered about this unique piece of art at the front of Benton Street Baptist Church? 

This piece is called "Gloria in Excelsis," which means glory to God in the highest. 

☀️ The golden circle at the top represents God, who is described as a "sun and shield" in the Bible. 

⬆️ All of the vertical lines of wood, metal and fabric represent us! They symbolize the wide variety of people who come together to lift their hands and praise our incredible God!

Gloria in Excelsis was commissioned way back in 1989 by Jack and Shirley Weber, in honour of Shirley's parents who had been long-time members of the church.

The piece was created by Donald A. Stuart, who was an art teacher at Georgian College. He was recommended by one of his students who attended the church!

🎉 Almost 40 years later, we still love the message behind this piece of art. You're invited to come see it in person on Sundays at 10:45 a.m.!

Registration is now open for our Epic + Onside summer camps with !

We've got three great weeks of camp happening at Benton Street Baptist Church:

✅ Epic Camp
📆 Monday, July 27 to Friday, July 31

✅ Art Camp
📆 Tuesday, August 4 to Friday, August 7

✅ Multi-Sport Camp
📆 Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14

All kids in senior kindergarten to grade 6 are welcome to join the fun!
