🍁 This Canada Day, we celebrate something extraordinary.

“This land of ours is one of the Saviour’s hidden gems.”

“From the rugged shores of Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland to the Pacific Rim beaches of Vancouver Island. From the crimson reds of autumn in the East to the evergreen forests of the West — Canada is breathtaking in every direction.”

The Lord promised that the beauty of this earth was made “to please the eye and to gladden the heart.” (D&C 59:18)

This Canada Day, may we see His hand in the land we call home.

🍁 Happy Canada Day! 🍁

Alderville First Nation elder and World War II veteran Murdith Donald “Don” Smoke recently reflected on the family, faith and service that have shaped his 100 years.

This should be a lot of fun. Please plan on attending.

Dear brothers and sisters:

We are pleased to announce the upcoming 196th Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which will be held over Easter weekend. The First Presidency, members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and other General Authorities and General Officers of the Church will share messages of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

General sessions for all individuals, families and friends will be held Saturday April 4th and Easter Sunday April 5th..

General conference provides an opportunity for personal revelation as general leaders of the Church offer counsel and direction from the Lord. We encourage everyone to listen, study, meditate and apply the advice shared.

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released an Easter Message:

SALT LAKE CITY
First Presidency’s Easter Message

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — President Dallin H. Oaks, President; President Henry B. Eyring, First Counselor; and President D. Todd Christofferson, Second Counselor — has released the following Easter message:

As Mary Magdalene and her companions mournfully approached the Garden Tomb, two angels appeared to them and shared the clarion call of all Christianity:
“Why seek ye the living among the dead?

“He is not here, but is risen” (Luke 24:5–6).

This Easter season we also joyfully testify of this same eternal truth — Jesus Christ is risen. He lives! The Savior of the world was crucified and, on the third day, rose from the dead, “the firstfruits of them that slept” (1 Corinthians 15:20). His Resurrection allows all to be resurrected, and through His grace, we can find peace “which passeth all understanding” (Philippians 4:7) and “be perfected in him” (Moroni 10:32).

We invite each of you during this Easter season to “seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written” (Ether 12:41). As you do so, we testify that your Easter celebrations can strengthen your own faith and testimony that “death is conquered; man is free. Christ has won the victory” (“He Is Risen!,” Hymns, no. 199).
