The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released an Easter Message:

SALT LAKE CITY
First Presidency’s Easter Message

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — President Dallin H. Oaks, President; President Henry B. Eyring, First Counselor; and President D. Todd Christofferson, Second Counselor — has released the following Easter message:

As Mary Magdalene and her companions mournfully approached the Garden Tomb, two angels appeared to them and shared the clarion call of all Christianity:
“Why seek ye the living among the dead?

“He is not here, but is risen” (Luke 24:5–6).

This Easter season we also joyfully testify of this same eternal truth — Jesus Christ is risen. He lives! The Savior of the world was crucified and, on the third day, rose from the dead, “the firstfruits of them that slept” (1 Corinthians 15:20). His Resurrection allows all to be resurrected, and through His grace, we can find peace “which passeth all understanding” (Philippians 4:7) and “be perfected in him” (Moroni 10:32).

We invite each of you during this Easter season to “seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written” (Ether 12:41). As you do so, we testify that your Easter celebrations can strengthen your own faith and testimony that “death is conquered; man is free. Christ has won the victory” (“He Is Risen!,” Hymns, no. 199).

It was July 20th of 2025 that a generous $300,000 donation was made by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to a non-profit organization known as Windmill Microlending.

Why?

That donation, it was pointed out, would "enable at least 60 immigrants and refugees to pursue professional re-credentialing, thus allowing them to pursue careers in their fields and integrate more successfully into the Canadian workforce."

"The Church’s donation and the collaboration between the Church and WM reflect a shared mission to lift and strengthen communities through education and employment by empowering newcomers and helping them succeed."

The program has allowed highly trained dentists, physicians, pharmacists, nurses, lawyers and others to gain accreditation and continue to pursue their careers in Canada.

Following the tragic shooting targeting the Jewish Community in Sydney, Australia, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has issued the following statement:

We are deeply saddened by the tragedy that took place in Sydney targeting people of faith as they gathered. We condemn, and feel acutely the pain of, such a senseless act and mourn with our brothers and sisters in the Jewish community around the world. May we all come together in peace and love to comfort those in need. As followers of Jesus Christ, we look to His example and pray that His love will soften hearts and inspire harmony and compassion during this holy season.
