We are the youth group of Kentville Baptist Church. We welcome students in grades 7 to 12 from all walks of life to join us as we GROW in Christ's discipleship, COME TOGETHER in healthy fellowship, and REACH OUT into a hurting world. Youth Group - Mondays 7pm-9pm
Sports Night - Thursdays 7pm-8:30pm

When we go through times like these, often question come to our minds that we have difficulty answering. We may wonder where God is in all this? Or maybe why such horrible things are happening? We will be launching into a new video series that will be feature questions from you! Just because you are up every morning doesn’t mean you are living. Anyone can go through the motions of life, work, school, relationships, and friendships. But you aren’t living. You’re faking it.l; simply existing. True peace is found when you live the way Jesus invites you to, by living real—not just existing. Being real and not “faking it” takes courage, strength, and determination! Peace beckons us toward realness and vulnerability because it is in that place we can say “this is who Jesus made me to be”.

Our minds often like to drift in two different direction, thinking of the past or obsessing of what is to come. The challenge becomes then to stay present, in the moment. Moments pass faster and faster every day, Joy’s come and go...and so does pain. Trusting God sometimes means living in the present knowing that God is in the past and future.

New new day means new challenges and new possibilities. Each day we are given is a gift from God, but how often do we take that for granted? We complain, we bicker, we waste our time being unproductive, we engage in harmful behaviour, and even neglect to extend compassion and care to others. Starting today, keep track of how you spend your time. Are you aware of how your days are spent? We all only get one shot at today, so let’s make it one that we can be proud of!

We are living in a new world...it’s not easy to deal with so much change so fast. There are a lot of unknowns right now that can cause anxiety, stress, and depression. You are not alone, we are all grieving and experiencing loss too. Take comfort that you are exactly where God wants you to be. The “why” may be uncertain to you now, because that’s up to you. Only you can decide how to make these times impactful. Reach out to someone you miss, video chat with a friend, ask for support if you are feeling down. As the Church Jesus asks us to be his representatives in our community, what does that look like for you?

FIVE DAYS!! In 5 short days we will be on the road to Tidal Impact 2019 in Fredericton for a week!! Five young ladies on our team, traveling with 3 adults for support. Come cheer us off Saturday July 20th at 0945. We'd love to see you all before we leave!
