So many thanks to be offered for everyone who came, helped transport by boat and by golf cart(!) and shared stories of Jubilee today.

It was a beautiful service, with wonderful stories and emotion as we decommissioned the church. Yet we know the legacy of Jubilee will go on. God will show us the way.

We finished our series of mini pilgrimages! Today we hiked from Blackstone to Inverness.

Most of us walked the length of the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail over six weeks this summer, and had a fantastic time!

We have rescheduled the decommissioning service for Jubilee United to this Sunday, August 30. We will meet at Murphy's Pond at 1:30 for transport to Port Hood Island.

UPDATE: The noon time decommissioning service planned for Jubilee United has been postponed. More details to come when rescheduling is confirmed.

On Sunday we have a couple of special services planned.

First, at 10am we will celebrate the 140th anniversary of St. Stephen’s in Port Hood. A light reception will follow the service.

At noon we will board boats to head to Port Hood Island to decommission Jubilee United. We will share stories and offer prayers of thanksgiving for the 122 years of United Church presence on the island, and seek together what the future may hold there, for the building and the people.

Please feel free to join us as we mark two important events in our shared history.
