A wonderful day for a Pride March, here in Edmonton. It’s always great to see the crowds who line the streets and enthusiastically cheer and wave as we pass by. We feel very privileged to be able to walk with some amazing people and organizations.

During the summer months we come together with our “birthing” community of faith; St Paul’s United. We join them in the month of July, and in August they join us here at RUC. It’s a great way for our ministerial staff to have a well earned break and for us all to get to know each other and make connections. Win-win for both communities of faith.

Scammers have become ever more sophisticated and it can be a challenge to differentiate between genuine and scam callers. On Wednesday June 24th, we are holding a Scam and Fraud prevention workshop. This event is open to all, however you must register and pay the fee of $15 to secure your spot. Please register online on our website www.riverbendunited.org.

Our rainbow railings are back! This can only mean one thing, it’s Pride month. While we have visible signs that we are an affirming congregation in and around the church throughout the year, our 🌈 railings only make an appearance in the month of June. A way of showing a little extra ❤️ for all our 2SLGBTQI+ siblings. Now if only the rain would stop here in Edmonton we can change the church sign!

You will be sure to find some great bargains, and no doubt, some unusual and quirky items. The icing on the cake? We love connecting with folk in our community so you can expect a warm welcome and a friendly chat with our wonderful volunteers.

We continue to journey with Jesus in this most Holy Week.

On April 3rd there will be a Good Friday service, where we bear witness to Christ’s suffering on the Cross. This difficult, but deeply meaningful, act of worship takes place at 10.30 am.

On Easter Sunday, April 5th we will rejoice at the empty tomb, and give thanks for the risen Christ. Again worship will take place at 10.30am.
