Let ME talk about LOVE.

The Bible says, "Love your enemy and do good to them that hate you.” For many, this is easier said than done; it borders on the impossible. Me thinks the reason for such feeling and view is because we do not include God in the picture when we think of this verse and imagine ourselves putting it into action to those who may have wronged us.

My reading has taught me that Love cannot come from a sinful heart. We MUST first KNOW and RECEIVE God’s LOVE before we can start talking about loving others. With a sinful heart which, according to the bible, is DECIETFUL above all things (Jer. 17:9), How can we really love those who have hurt us? How can we love the unlovable? We just CAN’T!

But when you INCLUDE God in the picture, then things become vivid. If you really know HIM whose character is love, if you have that deep relationship with the one who loves US with an everlasting LOVE, if you are FILLED with His love, then YOU can CHANNEL that love EVEN to the UNLOVABLE. "We love because He FIRST loved us". Remember that we were unlovable, but Jesus came anyway and took our place. While we were YET sinners, Christ DIED for US. If we truly have Jesus in our hearts, it will not be a struggle to practice loving others. Here's what the SOP have to say:
"Love comes from God. It cannot come from a sinful heart. It is found only in the hearts where Jesus lives.

If we claim to be Christians and a people who adhere to God's teachings and walk in his steps, then we must love even the unlovable. If you find it hard to Love, then maybe Jesus, whose character is love, is not a resident in your heart. When we say we are his, but we do not practice loving our fellow man, then in the end, we wil hear the rejection, "AWAY FROM ME! I DO NOT KNOW YOU!"
Friends, to love Jesus is to love others. To sum it up, it is as simple as this:
"Beloved let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; FOR GOD IS LOVE. ~ 1 John 4:7,8
