❤️ **A Sincere Apology**

I am so very sorry, but worship at Craik United tomorrow is cancelled as I am unfortunately quite ill and simply not well enough to lead worship.

I am truly disappointed to make this decision, and I apologize to everyone who was looking forward to being together tomorrow.
But please plan to join us next Sunday! We will be celebrating Thanksgiving together and sharing in the joy of Holy Baptism. It will be a very special Sunday, and I can't wait to be back with all of you!

Watch for more details about next Sunday's celebration in the days ahead.

Until then, please take good care of yourselves, and thank you for your understanding, prayers and kindness. ❤️

Our thoughts and prayers are with Gwen and all of John's family and friends as they grieve his passing on Thursday, September 10, 2026.

May God surround all of John’s loved ones with comfort, peace, and strength during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the love and support of family, friends, and our church community.

What an Incredible Day!
I have Charlie and Aiden's permission to share a few photos and details from today with our faith community.

Today was a very special first for me; my first Confirmation class as a teacher! I decided we needed to start our journey with a one-day Confirmation Retreat right here on my acreage.
I made each of the boys their own Confirmation book and gave them each a Bible, tools that I hope will become meaningful parts of their faith journey.

Then we set off to explore 10 different stations around the acreage, each with its own theme and lesson.

The Gathering Station, started with lunch! We made pizza together and talked about how many different ingredients, when brought together, can make something pretty wonderful. Just like a faith community: we are all different, but when we come together, we can create something beautiful.

The Foundation Station — We painted rocks and talked about the importance of having a strong foundation for our faith.

The Baptism Station — We sat beside the pond, listened to the water and talked in depth about baptism and what it means to be welcomed into the family of God.

The Jesus Station --Josh built the most beautiful cross and it became such a special part of our day.

The Church Station — We explored the history of the United Church and talked about what it means to actually be part of a faith community. I especially loved hearing the boys share their thoughts about what it is like to be part of a church as young teens. Their perspectives, questions and observations were wonderful.

And those were just a few of the stations!

What touched me most today was listening to Charlie and Aiden talk about their faith. These two young people have incredible faith, and hearing the things they shared, the questions they asked and the thoughts they expressed was truly wonderful.
They participated so willingly, with smiles, laughter, great conversations and open hearts. They showed gratitude, enthusiasm and such joy. They embraced every part of the day, and I couldn't be more grateful.
I am already looking forward to our next time together!
What a blessing these two young men are.

🎉 CHURCH IS STARTING TOGETHER AGAIN! 🎉

After a summer of adventures, sunshine and a little bit of a break… we’re getting back together!

📅 Sunday, September 6th at 11:15 a.m.
📍 Back where we ended; in the BIG HALL, Craik Legion

And by request, we’re starting just the way we ended, with Josh and Dawson helping me with worship music! 🎶🙌

I’m SO excited to be back together with everyone. There’s something pretty special about gathering as a community of faith, singing together, laughing together, worshipping together and simply being together.
Bring your family, bring a friend, and come ready for a wonderful morning together.

And one more very special request…

Please keep Charlie and Aiden in your prayers! Tomorrow, Friday, August 28th, they begin Confirmation Classes! This is a huge and exciting step in their faith journey, and I’m so excited to walk alongside them as they ask questions, explore their faith, and grow in their relationship with God.

Our theme for their Confirmation journey comes from Matthew 7:7:

“Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.”

And that’s exactly what I hope this journey will be for them; a safe place to ASK questions, SEARCH for answers, and KNOCK on some doors of faith.

What a wonderful morning of worship! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us today and helped make it such a meaningful celebration. It was a joy to hear everyone singing with such enthusiasm and to witness our incredible children and youth sharing the beautiful message of It Is Well With My Soul through their interpretive signing.
Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, supported, and shared in this special service. Your enthusiasm, encouragement, and faithful presence mean so much and truly make our church family a blessing. And we certainly can't forget our amazing chefs and servers in the kitchen! Thank you for preparing and serving such a delicious barbecue lunch.
As we head into the summer months, I pray that each of you has a season filled with rest, joy, laughter, and God's abundant blessings.

Have a wonderful summer. I look forward to worshipping together again in the fall!
