There should never be a hindrance to prayer. It is vital to the life of every believer. Your Christian walk will only be as strong as your prayer life.

Today, my good friend led our prayer time while his two children sat nearby, playing and watching. They were witnessing firsthand what the life of a believer should look like.

I’m so thankful for men of God like this who don’t just talk about their faith, they live it. Their children see it, the church sees it, and the impact will last for generations.

Talk is cheap. A life lived for Christ speaks volumes.

🙏 What a powerful picture, dad praying, children watching, and a church being reminded that discipleship often happens through example more than words.

Let’s pray church!
Love you all,
Pastor Jon

Pastor Jon’s Challenge

“Too many believers are looking for a word from someone else when God has already given us His Word.”

There is nothing wrong with receiving encouragement, prophecy, or godly counsel, but those things should never replace a personal relationship with Scripture. If the only time you hear from God is through someone else, you’re missing one of the greatest privileges of being a follower of Jesus.

This week, before you seek a word from a preacher, a podcast, a friend, or social media, open your Bible and ask God to speak to you through His Word.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 reminds us that Scripture is God-breathed and equips us for every good work.

Challenge: Spend at least 15 minutes each day reading the Bible and asking:

1. What does this teach me about God?
2. What does this teach me about myself?
3. What should I do differently because of what I’ve read?

Don’t just look for a word—get into The Word. God still speaks through the Scriptures He has already given us.

“A believer who knows the Word will not be easily led astray by every other voice.” – Pastor Jon

This Sunday at SonRise: DESIGN
Part 3 of our Next Steps series

You are not random.
You are not overlooked.
You are not without purpose.

God created you with intention, shaped you uniquely, and placed gifts, passions, and calling inside of you for a reason.

This Sunday, we’re continuing our Next Steps series with Design! A message about discovering how God made you and why that matters.

You were designed on purpose, for a purpose.

Come ready to be encouraged, challenged, and reminded that your life has meaning in the hands of God.

Tomorrow I’m sharing a message called “My Church.”

There’s something powerful about being able to say, “This is my church.”
Not just attending… but belonging.
Not just watching… but building.

If SonRise has been part of your journey — or you’re wondering if it could be — this message is for you.

Join us. Let’s grow together.
