Unity Vesak in PEI 2026
We were truly blessed to organize and celebrate Unity Vesak 2026 on May 30 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
People from many backgrounds came together as one community to honor Sakyamuni Gautama Buddha by reflecting on and practicing His teachings. As Buddhist followers, we gathered in a spirit of unity, kindness, compassion, and noble friendship to commemorate the Birth, Enlightenment, and Parinibbāna of the Buddha.
Canadians, Sri Lankans, Vietnamese, Chinese, Taiwanese, Thai, Myanmar, Nepali, and Indian communities joined together as one family to celebrate this sacred occasion and strengthen our shared commitment to the Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Venerable Monks from the Atlantic Buddhist Meditation Centre and the Great Enlightenment Buddhist Institute in Prince Edward Island for their guidance, blessings, and participation.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to all devotees, friends, volunteers, donors, and participants from different communities whose support and dedication made this event a success.
May the spirit of unity, loving-kindness, compassion, and wisdom continue to grow among us. May the Buddha’s teachings bring peace and harmony to our island and to the world.
May all beings be well, happy, and peaceful.
