The day of ^Arafah is the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah. This year it will coincide with Tuesday, May 26th, 2026. Remember to fast this day for the sake of Allaah.

When asked about fasting the day of ^Arafah, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said what means,
“Fasting the day of ^Arafah will erase the sins of the past year and whatever is left for the days until the end of the year”.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah raise his rank) reported that the Messenger of Allaah (peace be upon him) said while talking about the merits of Friday what means, “There is a time on Friday at which a Muslim supplicates Allaah and he will be granted whatever he supplicates for.” And the Prophet pointed with his hand to indicate that this period of time is very short.

This special time is exclusive to the day of Friday in which the supplications of the Muslims will be granted. This special time is unspecified and it is mentioned that this unspecified time is between the ^Asr (Mid-afternoon Prayer) and the Maghrib (sunset prayer).
