Eagle Lake Bible Camp

We are sad to announce that there will not be specific weeks of Eagle Lake Bible Camp scheduled for the kids and youth of Wabaseemoong this summer. For several reasons, the camp board made the decision that it was just not feasible to do so this year. We recognize that this is a disappointment for many young people who were looking forward to attending Bible Camp, as well as for many staff who were looking forward to reconnecting with friends from the community. However, we also know that there are many other great activities happening in Wabaseemoong over the coming months and hope you all have a great summer!

Harvey Plett passed away peacefully at his home, on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the age of 85. He was born on August 1, 1935, in Satanta, Kansas. Harvey was a very special man! His love for children (especially those who had tough situations) was amazing! Some of my greatest memories include seeing him care for and love on kids! As camp director Harvey was my right hand man! Even this last summer I had to call him a couple times while I was out at camp working on the property to ask where to buy something and how to get somewhere. ELBC will miss Harvey VERY much! Enjoy your time in the presence of Jesus Harvey, we love you!

Planning on a fall camp work day October 17, if your interested in come to help out please contact Vince Kehler. Pouring some concrete curbs, cleaning up brush, pantry could use some painting, cleaning in the lodge.... there is no shortage of work!

Concrete is top of the list all other jobs are if we get enough help.
