Hi friends & Family, read below to hear shortly about August, and some updates about our residence permit and some prayer requests we have.

RFLX NEXT YOUTH CAMP
Last week we had the joy of joining our other big YWAM base in the country for their young adults camp! It was for ages 18-21 and Nate was on the band that led worship 2 times per day! It was 4 days and they focused on being rooted in God! So they had topics and teachings as well as powerful worship times. The campers were so open and really were being enountered by God! It was so encouraging to see youth Dutch people really desire to meet with God!

NORWAY
This weekend we will go to Norway to be apart of a YWAM Gathering.

Many bases around europe will come together to connect, network and pray together about how we can partner in regards to training young people and sending them into missions! We are expecting and believing for a greater missions movement from Europe and want to see how we can work together towards this goal. We will be there for 4 days and Nate will also be apart of one of the bands leading the 200 people coming in worship!

RESIDENCE PERMIT + PRAYER REQUEST
If you had read our previous update, we had mentioned that our permanent residence permit applications had been approved (or so we had been told by the government worker). Well after calling and trying to find out when we could pick up our new ID cards, we found out that the worker who told us that was incorrect and our applications are actually still in process (and could take still some months). This has made a very complicated situation for us as our current permits have now expired and affects things like us traveling (which we are this weekend to Norway and after that Nate to Thailand) as well as has affected our health insurance and whether it is going to continue to be valid. We would love to ask you all to pray that all 3 of our permits would be approved very soon and the complications like our health insurance and travel would be unaffected!

FINANCIAL NEED
We would like to ask you to pray and ask the Lord if He would like you to partner with us! We are asking for some one time donations. We are still needing about 350 euro for our Norway trip this weekend to cover all the costs, as well as we are also looking for some more monthly partners. Costs in Europe have been increasing, as well as our monthly bills. We are currently receiving about 2,500 euro per month in support.

Our monthly goal is 5000 euros.

This is so we would be able to put aside some for our yearly travel as well as pay for our bills like rent and health insurance, one time costs that come up like bike repairs, dental appointments, Avea’s swimming lessons etc. If you want to join our team to help us reach our goal, or give a one time donation, all the ways you can give (Europe, Canada, United States, etc) are below!

Hello from the Schmidts!
Hi St Oeuns, read below to hear about this summer and some upcoming ministry travel and opportunities for us as a family!

REVIVAL & REFORMATION GRAD
In the end of June our first ever Revival and Reformation school graduated! It was such a joy and privilege to be a part of the school! It was a really inspiring and provoking 3 months! I felt God really spoke to me through lectures and the times together as a school! I learned so much about co-creating with God and felt God giving me creative ways to reach out to those around me! I was also reignited with the love for evangelism and especially faith to believe God will move in the red light district here in Amsterdam! We as staff are so excited to see where all the students go after this and how they will bring real Biblical solutions to whatever sphere of society they are called to.

A LOT OF FAMILY TIME
These last couple of weeks have been FULL! In the best way! We have visited Nate’s brother and his family and then Nate’s cousin came to visit us! We then went to Denmark on a roadtrip for some friends wedding!

PERMANENT RESIDENCE PERMIT
Thank you to everyone who has prayed for us in the process of getting our permanent residence permits! We found out last week that we have been approved!!!! We are sooo thankful and are so excited for what this means for us as a family in missions here in the Netherlands! We will be able to pick up our physical resident cards in the coming week or two! Praise the Lord!

AVEA IS GOING TO BE A BIG SISTER!

We are so excited to share that we are having another baby! It’s still quite early, we will have our first ultrasound on Monday.

We can’t wait for our family to grow!

RFLX CAMP, NORWAY and THAILAND
We have quite a bit of ministry and travel coming up! In 2 weeks we will be going to the other main YWAM base in the country, Heidebeek. Twice a year YWAM runs a dutch youth camp for a week. The camp is focused on sharing the gospel and about missions, inviting dutch young people to ask God what He has for their lives! Nate will be in the worship band every day of the camp! Avea and I will also join and we are so excited to see what God wants to do in the dutch youth this week!

At the end of August we have a gathering with about 10 other YWAM bases in Norway. This gathering is focused on how we as YWAM Europe can collaborate better towards our goal of sending out 10,000 missionaries together from Europe to the nations! We are not just Bible Schools in YWAM but we have a unique call from the Lord to be training and sending missionaries! We want to see how we can do this better together. YWAM

Amsterdam will be bringing a worship band to help lead certain sessions, which Nate will be a part of. Nate’s team he is helping lead on our base is called YWAM Music Amsterdam (YMA) and the heart of the team is exactly this! To lead worship all around the nations!

The week after Norway, there is another YWAM gathering but this one is called Global Leadership Gathering for YWAM International. It will be in Chiang Mai Thailand. Avea and I will not be going but Nate will be going as a representative of YWAM Amsterdam. These are important meetings to stay connected to the global vision of YWAM, hear together what God is saying for the direction and vision of the mission, and to network with others around the world!

If you would like to contribute to any of our ministry travel this summer, we would so appreciate that! We still need to buy flights for both Norway and Thailand and the total cost for both these trips is about 1300 Euros.

Hello Church! I am putting a call out for some items for a Nigerian friend and brother in Christ. He lives in Selkirk and came to Canada 3 years ago. His family is finally arriving from
Nigeria on Thursday! It’s been a long three years since he has seen his wife and 3 girls (age 14,12 &8)!
He has a house he has rented and moved into but he has no living room furniture. Plus he would love a freezer.
Does anyone have a sofa, love seat, sectional or any LR furniture they would like to give away? Or a freezer?
