"Hi Sanctus Church!
My name is Madison, and I am one of the youth who had the amazing opportunity to go to REMIX this year! This was my very first year attending, and it has absolutely changed my life. I have never experienced anything like it before. I got to grow so much in my relationship with God over the five days, and the love and compassion I feel for and from Christ as I came home brings me so much joy and comfort. I will never forget this experience.
I joined Sanctus at the beginning of this school year, and the youth and leaders have been the most welcoming and supportive group I have ever been surrounded by. They gave me a home in this church. Coming into REMIX, they made all the difference in supporting me through the activities we did and in my walk with God.
Throughout REMIX, I met many people and heard their testimonies. I got to understand the many ways God works in our community and how we can serve Him. Otherwise, I may have never had the confidence to talk to people I don’t know. Learning about sharing the gospel in our session was a day I will never forget. We were taught steps to take and how to truly listen so we’d be ready to go out and evangelize.
I had the chance to really think about everything God has provided. I realized that even in hardships and best of days, He will never stop providing. He hears our prayers and loves us so much that He will keep answering until we see the work He’s doing and how deep His love is.
All my life I’ve struggled with the thought, “What if I miss it when God answers?” But this trip showed me that God will never stop. He’s been answering all along. He led me to Sanctus time and time again. He never stopped when I missed an opportunity. He never gave up.
When I realized that, I couldn’t help but want to spread His word. At REMIX, I saw we need to first understand His love to love others better. Sharing that at Yorkdale Mall, even if not many listened, became a day that will always be instrumental to my walk with God.
I am so grateful I had the chance to go to REMIX and spread the Gospel. This is an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life. God is so good!"
