GOD IS WITH YOU ALWAYS!
By Elder Simon
Scripture references: 2Kings 20:1-6 and 1 Sam 12: 13-25
📌The saying that God us with us always sometimes feels like mere words when we are going though the darkest seasons of our lives as believers, where we dual to understand how Gos can allow certain hurtful things to happen in our lives.
📍We consider the situation of two righteous men, who in their own right would have felt God had forsaken them. One is Hezekiah, who despite being a righteous king who was beyond reproach, one days wakes to the prophecy that his life will soon end. After petitioning the Lord, hela granted 15 more years. But what when through his mind before the answer was released? Did he feel he was being punished by God for something he had not done?
Next is king David, who likewise being a righteous king, that was quick to repent of his sin of adultery and murder goes on to lose his first son. Did he feel God had abandoned him in that situation. Or that he was being judged for his failings, despite God making it clear He was forgiven of His sin?
📌We learn from these two accounts that God was present with His servants despite it not seeming as such on the surface. In both cases God’s will prevailed altough none of them had imagined things would eventually turn out the way they did. This also reminds us that God is always in the details of our story, right besides us and His plans and purpose for our lives, though at times seemingly complicated is certainly perfect!
