This verse should be one of the most controversial in Scripture, but it isn’t, because many Christians refuse to accept the glorious possibilities it reveals. Immortality is not only for heaven; it is for now. And the reason is clear: Christ abolisheddeath.

In our Kingdom, death has been abolished. The word iskatargéō in Greek, which means it was rendered entirely useless, unemployed, inactive and inoperative. Hallelujah! Death has been stripped of its force, power, and influence. It should never be employed, active, or operative in a Christian’s life. It is illegal!

Dare to walk in the light of this truth. Meditate on it until it becomes part of your knowings, your non-negotiables. Let it transform how you think, speak, and respond to fear, sickness, and limitation. Christ did not manage death. He dismantled it. You are unkillable.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank You for the finished work of Christ. Thank you that death has been abolished, rendered powerless, and made inoperative in my life. Let this revelation settle deep within my spirit.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

The Law of the Spirit of Life is active and operative in my life. Death has no authority over me. I cancel every assignment of death! Death, you are fired!

Every morning I lay the pieces of my life on your altar and watch for fire to descend.

Oil fires are among the most dangerous because they’re hard to contain. Once ignited, they burn hotter, spread faster and refuse to be extinguished with ordinary methods. The flames leap from surface to surface, travelling, intensifying and multiplying. This is the picture of a burning prayer life.

When you lay the pieces of your life on God’s altar, fire congeals. Prayer becomes combustible, able to ignite anything it touches. The same “danger” of a natural oil fire becomes your advantage: persistent, uncontainable, fast-moving, and impossible for the enemy to put out.
In this Year of Strange Oil, your prayer life will burn. Not the weak, casual kind of prayer that flickers and dies, but the kind that spreads through your home, decisions, finances and assignments. Prayer that pulls every scattered area of your life into one place before God and sets it ablaze.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, let holy fire descend and ignite my prayer life with strange oil. Burn away distraction, weakness, and passivity. Make my prayers persistent, uncontainable, and impossible for the enemy to extinguish.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

As I lay my life on the altar, and the fire of God consumes every part of me, Heaven answers and Hell fears. My prayers are dangerous!

POSSESSION PREEMPTS PRAYER

He shall have whatsoever he saith.

There’s a realm in God where you no longer pray; you possess! When something becomes yours in the spirit, your language shifts from request to declaration. You don’t beg for what’s already in your hands: you speak as a possessor.

My wife and I have reached a place where need is no longer our focus. As Scripture says, we are “self-sufficient.” Our prayers are no longer centred on what we require but on what the Kingdom requires: nations, people, expansion, and advancement. That’s what possession does: it moves prayer to another level entirely.

This year, your prayers are shifting. As you take hold of what Christ has already secured for you, you’ll find yourself speaking less from desire and more from dominion. This is the year you take possession of what’s yours spiritually, financially, physically and prophetically. You shall possess your possessions in Jesus’ Name!

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank You for the authority You’ve given me in Christ. Shift my understanding from asking to possessing, and help me to speak from dominion, not from lack, in Jesus’ Name.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I possess what God has given me. I take dominion; I don’t beg. I decree increase, sufficiency and supernatural advancement in every area of my life!

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…

There’s a book titled Dead Doctors Don’t Lie. The concept is simple: you can learn a lot from what has already died. According to Scripture, the old you was crucified with Christ, the “you” shaped by shame, fear, failure and limitation is dead.

Dead men don’t argue with the truth. They don’t complain or contradict what God says. As a Christian, you no longer live by your biology but by the life of Christ. So, as a new creation being, there are things you must never lie to yourself about again. Never say you’re rejected when you’re accepted in the Beloved. Refuse to call yourself powerless when the Spirit of God lives in you. Never speak lack when all things are yours. Let your words agree with your crucifixion and resurrection.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank You that my old life was crucified with Christ. Let my thoughts, words, and actions demonstrate His nature, righteousness, and victory. I choose to live by who I am in You. Amen.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

The old me is crucified with Christ. Now I live by His life, His truth and His victory. I refuse false identities and speak only what agrees with my resurrection life. Every lie is silenced in Jesus’ mighty Name!
