Day 3 of fasting
Topic: Faith & Sacrifice
Facilitator: Apostle Enoch
Scriptures: Hebrews 11:3, Hebrews 10:38, Hebrews 11:1, Luke 2:36, Luke 5:1-5
>Faith is a vehicle. It's what brings the invisible into the visible. Without faith there's no bridge between the mortal and the celestial.
>We can't please God without faith.
>The just shall live by faith; without faith you're as good as dead.
>When you have faith you have hope for the future.
>Nothing counters bad news like faith; by it the elders obtained a good report.
>Faith has always worked for those who came before us.
>Sacrifice is about giving everything to please God... however *obedience is better than sacrifice* ... sacrifice can never override obedience otherwise you're doing it to a foreign god. Offer your body as a pleasing sacrifice. Give your all to obey God and walk in His commandments which actually demonstrates faith and that's what pleases God. Become an obedient child of God ready to do His will
>Faith is all about utterance. You believe it & confess it.
>The currency we use to buy is faith
>Faith is progressive; from little faith to great faith.
>Faith is watered and grows. _A radical faith doesn't take NO for an answer._
5:1-5 Obedience makes sure there's manifestation of multiplication
Matthew 17:27 we see the progression of faith...at first they cast a net for the fish but here Peter uses a hook to get a fish to take the coin.
>From the story of the woman with the issue of blood(Veronica) we see that the distance between where you are and where you want to be can be covered by faith. (Faith is a vehicle). She said in her heart,"if only I can touch the hem of his garment then I will be made whole". Where there is no faith there's no humility. She had to kneel in order to touch the hem of his garment
>The Bible says those who wait upon the Lord will mount up, and we wait in faith.
