There is no church where people donβt live. We should not worry much when we experience that. Those who started with me are not with me as I speak. It's only a few that are still there. Our duty as shepherds is to just love people and have good will in our hearts for them, no matter the wrong they are doing. It's our duty to tend the sheep.
We need to wish everybody well as they feel their time with us its over. Let us not forget their service, sacrifices, support, and loyalty to the vision. Whether they leave us without saying goodbye or saying goodbye, let's not forget their impact in ourlives. It will remain well with us and the ministry. They have not taken away the church and the vision. It is only their presence that will no longer be there. We are not the savior of these people, but we are only leading them to Christ.
If we are faithful to God with each sheep, God will even call them out of your ministry to do great things for the Kingdom and make an impact in the world. We should be a growing and multiplying church, not a church that limits and confines people. Our feelings and perceptions about people who leave us should not make us miss the blessing and reward from God. It's painful to raise people, but God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts.
God will test our hearts for souls as well. When we misbehave with whoever He has given to us, we might lose very important pillars in ministry work and not see the church growing. People change, and they grow. God raises people each time, whether financially or spiritually, etc. Let's be careful how we handle souls. The one who is wicked today can be the one to save you tomorrow.
In my past 6 years of full-time ministry, I realize there are people who God has sent to be permanent and serve you until they die, and those who will be temporary and make impact too, but we must handle them with care, love them, support them emotionally, physically and spiritually. They will not be perfect and righteous as we want them to be, but each time you see them stepping into your church, they come because they are looking for your counsel and guidance. It is a sign that they surely love you and the vision you carry. Give them time and chance to grow with you as their leader.
