ANNOUNCEMENT FROM KARLSRUHE, GERMANY
We hereby would like to extend our sincere congratulations to Dr Henri Weideman (President of the AFM of SA) for being elected as a member of the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches (WCC). The elections took place this afternoon during the 11th World Council of Churches Assembly held in Germany. As a member of the Central Committee, Dr Henri Weideman uniquely represents the Pentecostal conventional stream of Christianity.
The World Council of Churches is a fellowship of 352 churches from more than 120 countries, representing over 580 million Christians worldwide. WCC is the broadest and most inclusive among many organised expressions of the modern ecumenical movement - a movement whose goal is Christian unity.
The Apostolic Faith Mission of South Africa (The AFM of SA) recently became a member church of the WCC in 2022. The AFM of SA is the first Pentecostal World Fellowship member Church to have joined the WCC and the first to have been elected to the WCC Central Committee.
The 11th Assembly of the World Council of Churches will continue until the 8th of September 2022 in Karlsruhe, Germany. For more information, please visit:

Yours in Christ!
