4. To move from theoretical knowledge to experiential participation in God's own rest as laid out in scriptures

5. To contrast Human striving with God's finished work emphasizing rest as a position of faith in Christ's completeness

6. To define biblical "rest" not as inactivity but as alignment with God's idea plan and purpose

7. To facilitate encounters with God that emphasizes His welcoming nature rather than His demands.

8. To expose the burdens of religious performance and self-reliance that creates spiritual weariness.

9. To Present Christ Jesus as a perfect revelation of the father's gentle, humble accessible heart.

10. To lead the church into a deeper, lived experience of spiritual rest in Christ Jesus by embracing and walking in the revealed realities of His finished work.

*GRACE ACTIVATED*

*2Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all.*

√√ After the death of Christ, God raised a man by the name Paul to teach and preach grace
√√ He is the only teacher of the word who was entrusted with writing more than half of the new testament because he had received unparalleled revelation on the subject of grace
√√ Most of the letters written by Paul opened with the greetings of grace and ended with the closure of grace *(Romans 1:7b/ Phil 4:23/ Philemon 1:25)*

Definition -

a. Grace is the favour of God upon a person
b. Grace is the divine ability to do, to be and to have

*John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.*

√√ Christ came to bring us grace and in the grace is life in abundance *(John 10:10)*

*Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)*

*THE POWERS GIVEN TO US BY GRACE*

*Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,* (1Peter 5:10/ Romans 5:17)

*1. Wantlessness* - wants or needs increase where grace is not activated *(2Corinthians 9:8/ John 10:10)*. Through grace we are empowered to break free from poverty, lack and penury *(Psalm 23:1-2/ 1Corinthians 3:21-22/ Philippians 4:19)*
√√ Lack persists where grace is not known

*2. Timelessness* - Nothing is too late where grace is involved *(John 11:40)*
• The 50 year old woman who got married by my decree in Zimbabwe
• A young boy whose grades changed from hopeless to A grade in one term this year - Grace gives us the power to be in charge of time *(Joel 2:25)*. By grace we can go to the past and correct our mistakes *(2Corinthians 5:17)*. We can take charge of today *(Ephesians 5:16)*. By grace we can go to the future and take charge of what should happen *(1Samuel 30:8)*

*3. Deathlessness* - *(Hebrews 2:15)* Grace gives you the power to reign over death *(Revelation 1:18/ Psalm 91:16)* - By grace death is defeated and defeatable *(1Corinthians 15:55-57/ Matthew 4:16:18)*
• A lady healed of HIV/ AIDS
• Child born with wholes in the heart
• A man healed of paralysis

*2Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee...*

√√ All that believers need is to correctly understand grace and allow it to be activated in their lives and destinies

*BLEEDING HEARTS*

*Jeremiah 8:22 Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?* (Psalm 147:3/ Psalm 34:18)

√ Societies, communities, families and churches are filled with individuals
√ Nothing hinders destiny like a broken heart

*Psalm 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.*

√ An emotional wound cuts way deeper and lasts longer than a physical wound because many do not know how to handle it *(Judges 15:1-8/ Proverbs 14:29/ Ecclesiastes 7:9/ Proverbs 25:28)*
√ It can change a gentle person into a monster
√ A bleeding heart can change a peaceful person into a vengeful and violent person
√ A bleeding heart can turn the heart of a believer into that of a witch
√ Nothing robs people of a colourful destiny like a broken heart/ spirit

*Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.*

√ The most emotionally unstable and unpredictable person on earth is one carrying a broken heart
√ Whatever makes you to lose joy, will eventually cause you to lose your health, strength and vitality
√ Many people have a dry sense of humour because of a broken heart

*Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.*

√ Most of the sicknesses, diseases and Infirmities playing individuals are a product of broken heart, the pain was first in the heart but stayed too long until it got to the physical body
√ Hurting people hurt others
√ A bleeding heart left unattended soon becomes a rotten wound
√ It is internal wars that cause external ones

*REASONS FOR A BLEEDING HEART*

1. Chronic illnesses
2. Financial pressures
3. Death of a loved one
4. Divorce
5. Rejection
6. Broken promises
7. Unexplained sufferings
8. False accusations
9. Failed dreams

*SIGNS OF A BLEEDING HEART*

*Psalm 11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?*

√ Until the cause of certain behaviours is identified, the wound will become worse

1. Forgetfulness
2. Lack of peace
3. Lack of joy
4. Unexplained anxiety and fear
5. Suicidal thoughts
6. Depression and stress
7. Anger and ill temper
8. Cry baby, emotional tantrums
9. Physical Violence
10. Emotional and verbal abuse
11. Vengefulness
12. Extreme talkativeness or quiteness
13. Vulgar
14. Easily provoked or angered
14. Recluse behaviour
16. Tattoos (Mark 5:1-5). People with tattoos have deep rooted emotional issues, they try to express themselves by marking their bodies
17. Lack of sexual interest or arousal for spouses
18. Jumping from one relationship to another

√ A broken heart that continues in the same state, soon becomes a rotten heart
√ Even the most docile and calm animal becomes violent and unpredictabl
e when wounded

*Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised*(Jeremiah 8:22)

√ The most neglected ministry in the church is ministry to the broken hearted, yet this is one of Christ's foremost mandates on earth *(1John 3:8/ John 10:10/ Proverbs 17:22)*
√ A BROKEN HEART has the hall marks of the devil hidden

*Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.*

√ A BLEEDING HEART that is not quickly attended to will bleed the owner to death
√ Many people because of bleeding hearts, are lifeless beings
√ As long as your heart continues to bleed, you will become hindered in life
