HOLY WEEK SUMMARY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9EK8dAXl6I&list=RDy9EK8dAXl6I&start_radio=1

Holy Week gathers us into the heart of the Gospel.
- We acclaim Christ as King on Palm Sunday.
- We remember His command to love on Maundy Thursday.
- We stand at the foot of the Cross on Good Friday.
- We wait in stillness on Holy Saturday.

In these sacred days, we learn that glory is found in humility, that strength is revealed in surrender, and that hope is born even in sorrow.
Thus, the Church keeps watch, trusting that the One who was crucified
is the same Lord who shall rise in triumph.
And so we wait — not without faith, but in quiet confidence that God’s promise shall be fulfilled.

Closing Benediction
As we close Via Lent 2026, we remember this:
Lent was not just about giving something up.
It was about drawing closer to Jesus.
- We walked through reflection and repentance.
- We stood at the Cross.
- We waited in silence.
Now we live in Resurrection hope.

From the Diocesan Youth Department, we encourage you:
- Keep praying.
- Keep trusting.
- Keep choosing Christ.

Blessing
May the Risen Lord fill you with courage.
May His love guide your choices.
May His Spirit strengthen your voice and your witness.
Go forward as people of hope.
Go forward as people of faith.
Go forward as a resurrected people.
Amen.

Easter Sunday – 5th April 2026
Theme: Christ Is Risen

YouTube Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cErtpg5hBSw&list=PLsMirFRGmJIgmY56cH2SEMdWJQSIjtEXE

Prayer Focus: Thank God for the gift of new life in Christ and ask for courage to live as a person of the Resurrection.

Scripture: John 20:11–18 (Lectionary Excerpt)
*Mary Magdalene Sees the Risen Lord*
11 But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?”
She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.”
14 Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?”
She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”
16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!”
She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher).
17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ”
18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her. (NKJV)

Reflection: Easter morning begins in uncertainty. Mary Magdalene goes to the tomb expecting grief, not glory. Yet in the quiet of that garden, sorrow turns to astonishment. The stone is rolled away. The grave is empty. Jesus calls her by name.
The Resurrection is not only an event in history — it is the foundation of our hope. Death does not have the final word. Fear does not have the final word. Sin does not have the final word. Christ is risen, and because He lives, we live in hope.
Easter invites us to move from mourning to mission. Just as Mary was
sent to tell the others, we too are sent — not merely to celebrate, but to
witness.

HOLY WEEK Holy Saturday – 4 April 2026
Theme: Waiting in Hope

YouTube Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ej0qmpmEPYE&list=PLsMirFRGmJIhAL4vXN5TRVXAvlxVERAqt

Prayer Focus: Ask God to help you trust Him, even when answers are
not yet clear.

Scripture: Matthew 27:57–61 (Lectionary Excerpt)
*Jesus Buried in Joseph’s Tomb*
57 Now, when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus. 58 This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given to him. 59 When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 60 and laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, and departed. 61 And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb.

Reflection: Holy Saturday is a day of waiting. The story is not finished,
even though it feels quiet and uncertain. What does it mean to trust
God in the waiting, even as you sit by the grave of your dream?

HOLY WEEK GOOD FRIDAY – 3 April 2026
Theme: Silence, Scripture, and the Cross. On Good Friday, the Church does not rush to explain the Cross. We stand quietly before it.

YouTube Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ej0qmpmEPYE&list=PLsMirFRGmJIhAL4vXN5TRVXAvlxVERAqt

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, You gave Your life for the life of the world. Teach me to sit with the Cross, to receive Your love, and to walk in gratitude and humility.
Amen.

Scripture: John 18:17-19, 28-30 (Lectionary Excerpt) The Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ
*The King on a Cross*
17 And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, 18 where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the centre. 19 Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
*It Is Finished*
28 After this, Jesus, [m]knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. (NKJV)

*Guided Silence* (Suggested 10–15 minutes)
- Sit quietly in the dim light with a cross nearby; take slow, deep breaths
- Remain in silence. Read the Scripture slowly.
- Let the weight of Christ’s love settle in your heart.

(No reflection questions are here — intentionally.)

HOLY WEEK: Maundy Thursday – 2 April 2026
Theme: Love That Serves

YouTube Playlist:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMPjwY06W0o&list=PLsMirFRGmJIhAL4vXN5TRVXAvlxVERAqt

Prayer Focus: Ask God to teach you how to love through action, not
words alone.

Scripture: John 13:1, 5, 12-17 (Lectionary Excerpt)
1Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.
5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.
12 So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you [b]know what I have done to you? 13 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. 16 Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

Reflection: Jesus washes His disciples’ feet and gives a new
commandment: love one another. True love shows itself through
service. How can you serve others with humility and care?

Prayer Focus: Pray for honesty, humility, and faithfulness in your walk with Christ.

Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 2:8-11 (Lectionary Excerpt)
8 Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him. 9 For to this end I also wrote, that I might put you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things. 10 Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For [c]if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ, 11 lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices. (NKJV)

Reflection: Holy Week reminds us that Jesus understands human
weakness, fear, and betrayal. Yet He continues to love fully. Show your family, friends, neighbours and the stranger the Godly love you share with them?

9 Now a great many of the Jews knew that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead. 10 But the chief priests plotted to put Lazarus to death also, 11 because on account of him many of the Jews went away and believed in Jesus. Prayer Focus: Pray for a faith that remains steady.

Scripture: Luke 19:37-38 (Lectionary Excerpt)

Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” (NKJV)
