Let's Get Physical, Physical...... whew I'm out of breath just saying those words, but that's exactly what March 2026 brought for the BAMWMW. Thanks to our care group, Kingdom Women, the Sisterhood's care of self is now more well rounded encompassing - Body, Soul and Spirit. Yes, we were told to come dressed "comfortably" and then they made us stretch, bend, lift, twist, turn and then ....repeat!!!
Our special guest Dr. Jan Isaacs (Health, Nutrition and Fitness) made us MOVE! Safety was stressed and instructions given on how to remain fit when challenged with chronic conditions, on mobility of hands, feet, knees, hips and shoulders; and most importantly NOT TO jump up or out of bed immediately after waking - rather stop, take 2 minutes to stretch and praise the Lord as you do so.
Sister Princess Knowles followed the session with some much needed deep breathing and instruction on Spiritual Mindfulness - a new way of thinking that heals and gives rest, to which we all said a hearty 'Amen' at the end.
Our Sister Dorsie Mae Humes brought the devotional thought on keeping our Spirits fit and strong, ready to live victoriously in Christ according to 1 Timothy 4:8. It was a very fulfilling evening and a much needed refocus on taking care of "SELF!"

Ohhhhh what a Night!!! Pre-Valentine Dinner of the BAMWMW was all about LOVE and "Rekindling the Flame" of the Love of God in each Heart. On the foundation of 2 Timothy 1:6, the Sisterhood came accompanied by the Husband's Committee, famiky and friends to stir the pot of love ❤️.
This first fundraiser for the year was very well supported, boasted of a four course meal, prizes and surprises, first class entertainment and Hosts - Rev. Brent and Sis. Crystal Ferguson - who guided the evening just right. The jokes and trivia kept us on our toes but it was panel discussion of three wise couples that stole the night. Topics on S*x, Finances and Communication were fielded by The Rahmings, The Tinkers and The Strachans. There was plenty to share, much to question and even more to ponder and take away........
It was not just a night about couples as we remembered our Widows who were surprised and blessed with special love gifts from President Humes and the Sisterhood. Hats off to 1st VP Pauline Rolle and Team for a beautiful night of Love!

The Word of God declares, that His Children perish for lack of knowledge. Bahamas Nation President, Patricia Humes must have had that word on her mind as the Sisterhood embraced 2026. She greeted us and the new year with an all encompassing communication on the year ahead. Guidance was given on our commitments, local, regional and international events, forecasts on growth, outreach and education and our continued call to online corporate prayer.
The tone has been set for the year and in full agreement, the Association presses forward in Faith, Love and Prayer. Our care group, Women of Excellence led us out in a Powerful Prayer Session covering international and local leadership, special needs, sick and shut-in. Sister Valarina Taylor gave the charge from Matthew 6:33; "Keep First Things First!" It's still all about God and we embark on this new year, giving FIRST priority to God and His Kingdom agenda for our lives. Amen
